Re: Any info on - OSS Mission Rifle Suppression System

As far as price a lot of companies will tell you that they will last 10,000 rounds, I did the durability test on all of them and will tell you, its false. AAC is the closest out of them. With the others, within 5 mags of rapid fire, not auto, we had baffle strikes. At ten mags we had cracks and hol...

Re: The first no blowback can?

Has anyone tried a OSS suppressor? They have a dozen or so dealers listed. Including silencershop....who doesn't seem to stock them.

Favorite Free Floating Hand Gaurd or Monolithic Upper?

I'm shopping around for uppers for 300 BLK and .22 LR SBR's. Suppressed of course. Wondering if I should monolithic or to free float the hand guard... What's your favorite style? So many choices and I have no clue what I like and don't like. My only experience is with the 9" Troy drop in . Spea...

Re: Specwar 5.56???

If you are frugal or quiet freak to the point that 3 dB matters....go specwar. Check out liberty as well. Torch is even quieter. If you want an indestructable can that can handle 7" SBR in full auto, can easily blaze through 30,000 rounds when the zombies come and civilization collapses (no mor...

Re: 762 Saker on SilCo website

I'd love to know why they dropped the hoplon. Not helpful in 308 due to more complete gunpowder burn over 5.56? My WAG is that there is far less volume of fire and less rapid fire in a 7.62 can. I personally haven't seen a worn out 30 cal can(aside from .gov/.mil). I have seen MANY MANY worn out 55...

Re: AAC at SHOT

Lighter means more material removal is needed, which means more machining time. Time is money, more machining is more wear and tear on the machine and tooling. More machining on Inconel even more wear and tear on tooling. Not buying that one here. Thinking the reason is to compete and gain back peo...

With a full Inconel baffle stack shorter and lighter should mean cheaper. But that's not the case. Unless all the weight is in the stainless tube, I don't get it.

Anyway, thanks for the update.

-and, coolest I think were the re-introduced 762-SD (with all Inconel baffles) and a new 556-SD (All inconel baffles, thicker blast baffle and tube tweaked for easier manufacturing), both are MSRP $650… Pics of these coming. What am I missing here? 762-SDN-6™ MSRP is $1,050. 62% more cost. Both hav...

And liberty has least back pressure of all. Pick your favorite trade off......

Has anyone ever needed more than a butter knife knife to clean an essence or kodiak? To restore dB effectiveness and not be OCD clean.

The Sparrow is probably the most popular can right now.

Liberty and SilecerCo/SWR are 2nd to none in all your categories.

Re: 762 Saker on SilCo website

$1,300 for a 139dB 7.62MM silencer? I call it a win. SilencerCo says 137 dB and NOT 139 dB. That said SilencerCo marketing specs puts it an inch and a half shorter and 7 dB quieter than the 7.62 SD. Plunky doesn't have any stats on the shorter SDN6 but the AAC website says that has 25 dB re...

Re: 762 Saker on SilCo website

The Trifecta flash hider or brake is 2.55" in length so when mounted the Saker 7.62 adds about 5" to that length. I do not know how AAC calculates their length added. Using a plain muzzle or A2 flash hider as the reference would change the calculated length. Ok, now I'm very curious as to...

The Saker 7.62 is 7.5" in length. So about 1/8" shorter than the SDN6.

Ah.... I was reading AAC's length added stats which is 6.1". What is the 7.62 saker length added?

Will a short / compact one ever come out? SDN6 style? Like anyone knows the answer to that... Word around the street is that silencerco occasionally posts here. I don't have any 380 pistols but if there are any 380 pistol owners w/ threaded bbls in the Indianapolis area I'd be happy to meet up with them.

Edited the original post to make it clear that AvereloSOCOM has metering equipment.

the ammo you use has a lot of impact. i have seen lead buildup on cans where exposed base ammo was used. the only way to eliminate lead fouling is to shoot TMJ ammo. are you sure your ammo is TMJ? you might be suprised if you pull a bullet and look. OH, I agree completely. ... And this is why no ma...
