Iron.Maiden, Do You recall where you found this design? this baffle '' design '' is all around internet , i know ops-inc uses...

Re: 300 black out can ideas
better straight cones ...a stepped cone is heavier than a straight one , many F1 designs use 60 deg. cones ....few of them are quite effective .

Re: stamp
I doubt you will get to 60 deg but I had some good results with stainless washers with small centre holes, then pressing various steel balls through, as the ball size went up the cone pressed deeper. Could be good for experimenting with little or no tooling costs Cheers that's the idea Enfield .......

Re: stamp
yes ...progressive i mean that it needs more than one stamp ,
maybe two or three steps to complete it.
cone can be broken because of deep heat
so i though about asking, if someone has experience.

Re: 308 can
yes ,elite iron are quiet , but there are some other things that completes a very good can , which is weight and one of the most important ..poi shift . if you need a can just to shoot without noise is one thing , if you are a serious shooter ,accuracy is needed . i'm telling that because i used to ...

Re: best baffle for .223
If K's provide the best in terms of performance then why does NO commercial manufacturer use them for this application? Even the manufacturers that don't care about the weigh of their can? If they were the best they would be produced for commercial sale, they aren't; the cones are thats why they ar...

be smart and do not waste your time and money on things you do not know , if you wan to copy something go with old m42k , it was( is ) a great can , only three baffles , if you want it quieter... short a little bit the blast chamber ( i do not think you are going to make a qd can ) and add another b...
