Re: AAC Illusion, new eccentric 9mm suppressor.
the 45 can is a modular version- the TiRANT 45M... basically, you have a full size Tirant, and if you want, you unscrew the front half and have a Tirant45S.

Re: Need to know's before ordering a 92A1 and a "Black Mamba"?
What's on the menu for the world's most fearless animal? Everything. But honey badgers absolutely favor snakes, including black mambas and some of the world's other most deadly reptiles. By some estimates snakes make up half of the honey badger's diet. Ha! I didn't know we could order these anywher...

Re: 7.62 thread on assistance.....
It depends how hard you might run it.
The harvester is not a hard-use can, it's SUPER lightweight and is really best on slow fire hunting rifles (what it was designed for).
The 300-TM is a thread mount MK13-SD which was designed for and is in use by the MIL and should prove more robust.

Re: New UMC 300 BLK ammo is finally flowing.
Speaking of the design of this round, was the Honey Badger project merely a demo-prototype or were any delivered to the SF community for testing? Always wondered about that, this thread just reminded me of it. Honey badger is part of a current Low Visibility Assault Weapon solicitation. There was a...

No it wasn't.timelinex wrote:The round was specifically designed for subsonic purposes in an AR15.
It was designed as a 30-cal solution that would fit and function in standard AR15s. The easy/efficient subsonic loadings are an offshoot, but not the only focus of the project.

Re: loose can?
Some people not the OP really make a big deal about the 51t mount system. I have never had any issues with my sdn6 and I use it on multiple guns. Once you lock it up you can twist it back and forth and feel a very slight loose feel. I have a feeling if it was made to lock up super tight you might h...

Re: AAC 51T compatibility
Does anyone aside from AAC make a 51T compatible can? No, it's an AAC-patented proprietary system Silencerco Saker can be had with a 51t mount. I suppose i was being too literal… no one else uses the 51T mount system. Silencerco does make a mount module for the Saker that will lock up on an AAC mou...

Re: SilencerCo K Versions
lots of reasons-
- AAC and Surefire (and others) have popular "mini" cans in their product lines
- 5.56 is a damn loud round suppressed (you should still wear ear pro even with a can)
- shorter cans look cooler
- most people don't shoot enough to care about performance

you really need a fixed barrel spacer... maybe the 45 piston in 5/8x24 will work? Dunno...aac? I am interested to know if this will work for the 9s as well. I will have the Ti-Rant 45 as well, so that will be able to direct thread on, but curious to know about the 9S. The t45 and t9 use different p...

Re: Excessive Blowback From TiRant With G19 Host
Try factory 147gr loads, and also try shooting it dry.
if you want to shoot wet, follow the instructions and only add a tiny amount of water (one small water bottle capful) and shake it around. That will cut down on particulate.

Re: aac tirant .45 barrel
Lone Wolf's quality is somewhat hit or miss… Also consider KKM. Thread pattern is mostly preference… I like the metric threads because they tighten in the direction of the barrel's rifling (admittedly probably no real world effect), but they also have a machined-in area for engagement with an O-ring...
