I too have never seen a target with perfect keyholing like that.
I've been lucky and never had a problem with a factory length barrel.
On Ruger 10/22 barrels that I have cut down I have had a couple keyhole problems
but recrowning the barrel has always corrected it.....but that was 22lr.

Extend your forward internal support to include the needed "spacer" as your expansion chamber, mine is 1/2". http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg117/twodollarbill/DSC05470_zps1afb2c23.jpg Somewhere (here) I read your drilled ports should be in groups of 3. Total of 3, 6, 9, etc....f...

I put a few Colt 6920's away for a rainy day.....because they are Colts.
For my shooters I have a couple MRP's with 12.5 barrels.
Both have Gemtech Halo's.
I'm not too concerned with weight....my center mass is just above my
insulated six-pack, so I balance out nicely with a heavy stick

Re: What causes bullet accuracy issues when designing baffle
Baffle strikes "baffle" people...period. If we maintain alignment and allow for clearances we should be safe and free from a baffle strike, but that has shown not to be true for some here. If the bullet fired is not designed for that barrel twist you could be in trouble too. The AR market ...

Sweet!!! design on your break and placement.
Your plan is for it to act like a diffusser with-in the blast chamber...interesting design.
I would spot weld it in place so that it doesn't unscrew forward and
start rattling around inside

Re: Made me a threaded barrel extension ... Beretta 92 FS
My setup is a Beretta 92 Centurion with 92FS barrel that I threaded.
I like having at least .450" of threads and you can't get that many threads on
a stock 92FS.
So I guess I like the looks of a longer barrel too.

Re: Best 50 cal suppressor?
Curious what DEPT. and what are you going to use a .50 with suppression for . I mean that's cool. I guess material destruction could be a use. I use a M99A1 with a older John's Guns suppressor build for the M82A1 but it works for the M99 also . It will increase the recoil as others have said but it...

Re: Made me a threaded barrel extension ... Beretta 92 FS
Nice modification.
It was posted in a thread here (somewhere?) that Beretta's were reliable
without a booster when the suppressor was under a certain weight.
You could of made the suppressors rear mount with the extension
and not messed with the factory look of the 92.

I have got my best results loading with Unique for 45acp.
6.0grs stays just under 900fps.
Functions all my 1911's suppressed.
Works great in my MAC too.

Re: Subsonic Reloading Manual?
You need to buy yourself a Chronograph.
I've owned the same one for 20 years and used it again just
this weekend to check different 22lr rounds in 3 different barrel lengths.
Trying to find the optimal position to place ports.
Next to my Lathe and Mill, it seems to be the next most used tool.

Never changed the pistons, so they would be stock units.
I do have a RIA and a Maramont, never thought of changing their rate of fire.

Re: slightly “dirty” silencers are quieter than “spotless” o
At one time I pulled mine apart at 500rds and brushed off the baffles and continued shooting. I found that 1500 to 2000rds was a good break time to do a complete cleaning. I would not want to be the "guy" that could not get his 22lr can apart because he fired ten thousand rounds and did no...
