I would use a 85 or 90 graded urethane
I was thinking of putting this in my .45 can. Where do you get the urethane?

I sucked it up and ordered the Gemtech .45 booster piston. I'll document the build with photos and video of course.....

Gemtec makes this piston core for a .45 cal but I don't know what the O.D. of the piston is. I suppose I could buy it and then build the rest around it...

If this is the hard part, then you can buy it. The rest can be easily purchased or turned on a lathe.
I concur...I have no milling capability.

I looked for a .45 cal booster (.578x28) but was unable to locate one. Do you know of any?

I am working on a .308 can now that is close to your specs and I'm using 6 omega baffles. But mine is a reflex can. I don't know if that will make a difference from yours as far as baffle selection...

How does that affect the preformance Red?

The mandrel works great. All the threads and endcaps are very square to the barrel and baffles...
