Re: Is getting a Ruger worth me getting rid of my Buckmark?
I recently replaced my MkII with a Buckmark, but my wife kept her MkII. I'm partial to the Buckmark, as I have always found the MkIIs much for finicky about ammunition than the Buckmarks my friends have loaned me. My Buckmark is a silhouette model, but I will probably contact Tornado Technologies to...

Re: 10.5 vs 12.5 vs 14.5 - suppressor wear and tear?
The M4-2000 on my issued 10.5" 416 here in Afghanistan shows no visible signs of internal wear from regular full-auto firing over the last year or so.

Integral Suppress Bolt Action
I was given a Ruger 77/44 a while back to have suppressed. It was stolen from a UPS facility while being shipped to be built and I'm looking to replace it. I don't know if I want to use the Ruger or the .44 as my base for my first integrally suppressed rifle, though. My planned use is hog hunting, s...

Re: Astra Constable, 22lr, anyone suppress one?
I wish I could get my Constable sent off, but between their backlog and me being deployed so much lately, I haven't been able to get home long enough to get it sent off when I would be around to receive it back. They are some great people that do great work, and I cannot highly recommend them to eno...

Re: How many lunchbox OGs do we have now?
I'm partial to the 11.5", 16" or 18" barrels, as I don't have much use for a 14.5" with no option of changing flash suppressors.

Re: How many lunchbox OGs do we have now?
With only 15-20 of us left it probably/hopefully wouldn't be too hard to make both lengths for whomever wanted either? I think this would be more plausible than asking KAC to take all the lowers back in, re-register the lowers as SBRs, manage all the paperwork involved with that, then have to form ...

Re: How many lunchbox OGs do we have now?
I'm an original owner with all parts still in the packaging. I just recently decided I will SBR mine, so an 11.5" barrel would be nice. How would it look/work with the mid-length handguard? Would there be any chance we could send our lowers back to be registered as factory SBRs, sort of like th...

Re: Registering AR SBR with Multiple Uppers
Thank you for the clarity. The other posts I had read listed lots of anecdotes, but relatively few facts about what had actually been working. Now if I can just find an NFA trust lawyer that will respond to my inquiries, I'll be set. I've been emailing and leaving voicemails for Mitsy Barajas (nfa-t...

Registering AR SBR with Multiple Uppers
I am interested in registering an AR SBR that I want to build, but I would like multiple calibers of uppers with varying barrel lengths. From what I understand, I will need to list all of the calibers I may want to use on the lower since the ATF no longer accepts "Multi" for caliber. I hav...

Re: Integral Bolt Guns Available? Compare to integral 77/44s
I'm always interested in seeing people's projects. I may have to find a cheap barrel and put an AR upper together for this just to see if I like the caliber, but I'm really thinking a CZ 527 would be useful in 300 BLK.

Re: Integral Bolt Guns Available? Compare to integral 77/44s
Thank you both for the direction. Without having used the 300 AAC (or 300 Whisper), am I looking at an overly costly and unnecessary build to do it as an integral? How does it perform with a 16" barrel and a muzzle suppressor? My intention is primarily to hunt hogs and other non-game animals wi...

Integral Bolt Guns Available? Compare to integral 77/44s?
I've seen the 700-based integral from AAC, but I'm just looking for information on who might be building an integral, traditional bolt action? How does the sound compare to an integral 77/44? I have been hoping to get back on track on my 77/44 project, but this would give me a lot more flexibility f...

Re: No High Velocity in Spectre...
Old thread, but did a lot of shooting with the Spectre on my 77/22 recently. With CCI and Aguila subsonics, the loudest noise was from the firing pin hitting. We listened about 6" from the muzzle and you hear air go buy, but nothing from the suppressor. I am VERY impressed.

Re: Need to know if use on HK416 voids KAC warranty?
No purchasing officer ever talked to me or Lt. Col. Lutz and we do technical responses. We've shot NT-4's on the Hk416 and there is no issue on our end, nor any I could see on HK's I'm aware that she did not talk with you or anyone else from KAC. I just wanted to get an official letter saying they ...

AAC M4-2000s; they sound alright, I guess. I don't know which KACs; we haven't used them for the above reasons, so they have been in storage since they arrived.

Thanks, Trey. I told her I figured we probably could use them, but she is convinced we can't use KAC suppressors now. Re: Need to know if use on HK416 voids KAC warranty?
That's what I thought, but, I haven't seen anything to say otherwise and it was my purchasing officer that talked to the vendors and made the call to shelve the KACs.
