Re: short barrel Flash hider.
I just had a night shoot at work last week and the Blackout mounts on our 10.4" rifles worked great, even with NODs on.

Need to know if use on HK416 voids KAC warranty?
I can't PM Kevin and haven't been able to reach Trey, but need to see about getting an answer ASAP. I was hoping maybe some of you with KAC suppressors might be able to tell me if there is anything in the paperwork indicating use on HK416s would void any warranties? My office bought a few KAC suppre...

Looking for an integral bolt rifle in pistol caliber.
I had intended to have two 77/44 rifles suppressed by SRT, but found out yesterday they were stolen in transit from a UPS facility, so I am starting over. I will not consider SRT Arms for the work, again, and am currently looking at Tom Denall and John's Guns. I have been in touch with John's Guns a...

Re: Anyone have good experiences whit the G36?
My organization issued the G36C briefly as a replacement for the MP5 and M4, but had too many problems with it overseas, so it was dropped in favor of a more conventional 5.56mm rifle.

Re: CZ 527 Carbine .223 with AAC Omni
I thought about swapping to a faster-twist barrel, and would have really liked a 1:8, but decided to save the expense this time around. I think it would be a much better rifle if it didn't have a 1:12 twist, but that's my only complaint about it.

Re: Which Mid-Length Barrel Fits KAC Mid Rails?
Assuming I did not misinterpret the information mentioned in another thread, it sounded like the rail length was not compatible with all brands of barrels due to KAC using a longer gas tube than most others on their mid-lengths, therefore a KAC-specific compatible barrel or a carbine length would be...

Which Mid-Length Barrel Fits KAC Mid Rails?
Just trying to figure out what companies make "KAC profile" barrels that are compatible with their mid-length forearms, specifically the Christmas Cheer one? Thanks.

Re: So with only 5 months to go, special run 2010?
Not compatible with standard middy barrels, correct? Not Armalite pattern middies, only KAC pattern, or carbine Kevin, Since I have never heard of an all-KAC build before, I assume y'all don't sell your barrels alone. What companies make barrels to your pattern? I have never heard of the different ...

Re: So with only 5 months to go, special run 2010?
I'd like to see rifle length, too, this way mid-length fans can go with a low-profile gas block and the rest of us don't end up forced into a carbine. Either color is fine.

Re: So with only 5 months to go, special run 2010?
I would prefer the MDM rail, as it is a pretty rare opportunity to own something affiliated with Marine Corps weapons systems. I also imagine the MDM could be a good bit cheaper since it doesn't have a front sight built in.

So it is, tentatively, between this rail (the Magpul Dynamics SR-15)? http://militarytimes.com/blogs/gearscout/wp-content/blogs.dir/5/files/2010-shot-kac/stck0059.jpg And this one, the Modern Day Marine (aka MDM) display? http://militarytimes.com/blogs/gearscout/wp-content/blogs.dir/5/files/kac-urx-...

Re: Most (perhaps a more) reliable out of box AR15 platform
Pick most any AR, and as long as the parts don't fall apart, you should be okay. I have a Colt 6520 carbine that I put LOTS of rounds through both in competition and while instructing; after seven years I decided to break it down and give it a real cleaning beyond just wiping down the parts that cou...

Re: Special Run Uppers - Build Thread
Every URX 5.56 gun that Costa owns that I know of has a mid URX. He used to have some carbine length, but to my knowledge, he changed them all to mid. The mid URX's are longer than 9", and long enough for even some pretty long arm shooters to achieve the style hold they teach. Who is this Cost...
