Nope, didn't get my keys any faster.... I know it was stupid. I had never noticed it before, but the grip of the Keltec and my Moto Tundra phone are very close in size. They even have similar checkering. I got away with it once, I guarantee that's a mistake I won't make twice. What would really suck...

I was trying to head out for a business trip and had gotten up earlier than normal, got all my stuff squared away at the office and then went to pick up my rental car as soon as they opened. They did not have their s--t together and kept jerking me around, the keys to the rental were at another offi...

I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that most broken charging handles out there are because of ignorant morons who try to clear stuck shells by pounding on the charging handle or even slamming it against corners/trees/whatever. My favorite move is the ones who stomp on it, often pointing a loaded gun at th...

Just be aware that if you use the mound of dirt approach, some bullets and fragments will ricochet off of the mound and land up to a couple of hundred yards beyond it. If you want a real eye-opener, shoot tracers at a dirt berm backstop. :) If I was building a range and didn't own the land beyond th...

It is amazing that there are people in this thread so insecure in their sexual orientation that they will risk being blinded or even killed because they are afraid of looking gay. I wonder if when they dream about sex if the dude sticking them in the ass wears a condom, or if wearing a condom would ...

I was told that the Palomar knot consumes a lot of leader each time. So that is a potential downside of this knot -- replacing the leader more often. Yes, it does, but the end of the leader gets chewed up if you are catching fish or fishing in cover, so you need to be replacing it or trimming it ba...

I guess I should add that my rule of thumb on leads is they're between half and as long as the fish you're going after so it provides enough length to clear the back of the jaw, the gills and the front part of the dorsal. These are the places IMO where the sharpest exposed edges exist on most game ...

I don't spool the reel with it because, as you found, it typically has a lot of memory and just doesn't behave nicely on the reel. It also can be fairly large in diameter and you cannot fit as much on the reel as a similarly rated braid. That usually isn't an issue in freshwater, but when I go for s...

I use the Albright to join a flourocarbon leader to braid. uni to uni also works well, but the albright runs through rod guides better. I'll use up to 20 feet of leader in clear water and it seems to help a lot... I have a buddy who doesn't like to reel his leader into his rod guides (because he use...

The palomar is fine for braid. Plus, it's so fast and easy that I use it whenever possible in all line types.
