Re: Looking for a 7.62 can to use on a short barrel

I'm planning to use an AAC SDN-6 on a 10" barreled 7.62x39 rifle. Is there an issue I should know about?

AAC Pilot v. Silencerco Sparrow

I have had an AAC Pilot for nearly 8 years. It is a great little can. Very lightweight, very quiet, etc... However, it is a sealed .22 can. I never shot it much, so I didn't worry about it having a "life span" of rounds through it, with no way to service it. However, now that I live on som...

Re: 22/45 Lite or SR22 a better host?

I have a Ruger MkIII 22/45 with Tactical Solutions threaded upper (back before the LITE was available). It is a great combo, and I love shooting it. The AAC Pilot is the same diameter, and it just looks good together. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/jerrellwise/Gun%20Pics/0905200927.jpg However...

Re: Best 7.62 can for x39 and x51?

According to the manufacturer's websites, the Saker weighs .7oz more than the AAC 762-SDN-6; it is .16" shorter than the SDN-6; both will mount on a 51T AAC mount (will I need to purchase a MAAD mount for the Saker?); and the Saker costs more ($1300 v. $1050 MSRP). I don't completely see why th...

Re: Best 7.62 can for x39 and x51?

So the Saker will mount right onto an AAC 51T flash hider?

As I do not know anything about the Saker (searching now), tell me why it is your vote?

Best 7.62 can for x39 and x51?

I want to get a can for my .308win bolt gun (Rem 700 LTR), and I want to use it on either an AK or a Sig 556xi Russian (7.62x39). I already have an AAC M4-2000 for my ARs, so I was thinking about the AAC equivalent in .30cal (AAC 762 SDN-6). The benefits to the SDN-6 as I see it: - It will attach on...

The '07 uses a 51 tooth mount, not the 18 tooth on the sig.

It was made by Sig, as an unlicensed copy of the AAC 18 tooth mount. I have read them state that they will not warrantee a can used on that mount. So, the M4-1000 and old M4-2000 will fit, but if it blows up you are screwed. Of course, most times when your can blow up, you are screwed anyway. So an...

Will the AAC M4-2000 fit on the Sig 556 SWAT flash hider?

It sure looks like the flash hider that comes on the Sig 556 SWAT model will work with an AAC M4-2000 suppressor.

Am I right or wrong? What's the deal with that flash hider? Did it come from YHM, AAC, or is it a Sig creation?

Re: 556 AAC type mount.

IS this a real AAC Mount? I heard somewhere that it might be a sig knock off like the sight and mess up a can. Any truth to this? Anyone from AAC know the answer? I am EXTREMELY interested in this answer, as I cannot find a AAC flash hider for a good price, and would like to use the Sig 556 SWAT fl...

I have a Glock 34 registered as an SBR. IMO, it was a complete and total waste of money. The stock I have is flimsy and flexes every time you fire the weapon. The rear sight appears to be a mile wide because it is too close to your eye. I don't get any additonal accuracy with the stock, in fact, I ...

If you are REALLY wanting "Hollywood" quiet, I'd say you ought to look at suppressing a single-shot pistol, as that would go a long ways toward quieting it down.

I know, this isn't what you wanted to hear. Sorry...

To me, I valued the Fast Attach feature more than the Quick Disconnect. I want to be able to put it ON a rifle without having to take off the flash suppressor, clean the threads, dab a little locktite on the threads, put the suppressor on, let it sit for a few hours to be sure the locktite holds, th...

JWISE, what caliber? What glass is that? It's a .308win, and its wearing a Nikon 4.5-14X Mil-Dot scope. It's not exactly a "tactical" scope, but it's smaller and lighter and since this is primarily a hunting rifle with tactical capabilities, it fits. I picked up a stock pack for it at thi...

Ammo Testing... w/ Pics!

I’ve been having a ball with my .22lr suppressed pistol since I first got it last year. It is a Ruger Mk III 22/45 frame with a Pac-Lite threaded upper and an AAC Pilot out front. I have taken it all kinds of places, and have shot the piss out of it. HOWEVER, I never got around to actually shooting ...

I've got an H&K P7M8, and I really like it. It does recoil a bit, and it does get warm, but that's a fair tradeoff for it's small size and safety features. I would have never spent $1200 for one, but I thought the $600 I spent was a deal. It's used, and has holster wear marks on the slide, but t...

I saw both a Glock 34 and a Springfield XD Compact in this thread. Question: If I were to go out and buy a 9mm host, which would work better? Which do you prefer? Perhaps just buy a Glock 19 and split the difference? PS- The question has to do with SIZE of handgun, not TYPE of handgun. For apples an...

From what I could tell right off the bat:

Weight: (19oz vs 16.75oz)

Length added to rifle: (4.75" vs 4")

and the 2000 07 mod is rated for full-auto w/ short barrels. It also uses better materials and the "Scarmor" finish.

I got the M42000-07.
