Re: Kodiak or Kodiak TL or Spectre

The TUBE is one of the things you need to keep in mind. Your retrofitted AAC is not going to be a smart thing to be shooting 22 hornet out of. The baffles may be OK but the tubing is made for a .22 LR. A Kodiak will be my next .22 can I wish his website talked more about his 9mm pistol can.. it tha...

Re: 17 HMR or 22 Mag

What do you plan to shoot with this rifle? Have you priced both ammunition types and checked availability? I opted for a 22 Hornet and can let you know in a few months when I get it threaded if it's not a lemon like some have suggested (it's a Ruger not a CZ model). The Hornet seemed like a better o...

How about an upgrade if the user waives the finish issues? I already have enough "pretty stuff" for my display case.

Re: 6.5 suppressor

Who is making 6.5 suppressors need one for my 6.5x55 tactical build. THANKS Bob For a 6.5 Grendel, I would use a 6.8 can. I'm not sure about the pressures and gas volume of your cartridge but, you probably want to use a .30 caliber can. Sure you loose a little in efficiency but, you don't have the ...

Re: How to figure muzzle pressure with diff barrel lengths (

Interesting read in those old threads. The rifle is coming from Davidson's so, if it is a total lemon they might offer a solution. And, no I don't plan on shooting ~35gr loads which seems to be part of the problem in those two threads. Another good read on the Ruger: http://www.gun-tests.com/perform...

Re: How to figure muzzle pressure with diff barrel lengths (

The rifle is a Ruger Model 77 in 22 Hornet, stainless heavy barrel which I think uses the .222 SAAMI barrel. I plan on shooting 45 grain bullets.

Re: How to figure muzzle pressure with diff barrel lengths (

Sid Quick Load does not have "Factory" .22 LR data. (That I can find.) If I did I would be more than happy to run some data. John, sorry about the previous post which was unclear. Do you have access to any 22 Hornet load data? I'm wondering for example: Is pressure from a 16" 22H ver...

John,

Can you use a factory load with a 24" barrel and run some samples with it cut back to shorter lengths? THANKS!

Sid

Re: How to figure muzzle pressure with diff barrel lengths (

You might want to contact AAC and verify that all the baffles in your Scarab are in fact stainless, we retrofitted one a while back and it had some aluminium k baffles in it..... Just wanted you to know before you kill your can thinking it was all stainless. Dave Liberty Suppressors Thanks Dave! Ye...

Re: AWC Abraxas

Thanks for the review! I have long thought about this can, and after the NANO/Poseidon results over there, I still eye the Abraxas the most. I may get one of these one day to grace a little .380 pistol. I had been interested in the AWC Abraxas for a long time. Then I had the good fortune to test fi...

Check with Double Diamond Law Enforcement in Tucson. They are a class 2. Jon is a very good machinist and could do what you want if he has the time.

Re: New to suppressors. Looking for a 22LR

Joe,

A suppressor is a lifetime purchase so, consider your options carefully. A lot of people are happy with the can you are looking at but, there are better cans out there for what to me isn't that much more money.

How to figure muzzle pressure with diff barrel lengths (.22)

I have an all Stainless Steel AAC Scarab suppressor and 22 Hornet rifle inbound. Since I need to have the barrel threaded, I'm thinking I want to have the 24 inch bull barrel cut back. However, I don't want to cut it back so much I blow out the guts of my suppressor. 24 inches plus suppressor is pre...

Re: New LMT 308 vs. LWRC REPR

That's a lot of anti-HK rant without regard for federal laws and basic good business practices. The HK 416/417 are made in Germany and must comply with German export laws. They also must comply with USA import laws too. Benelli has do the same with their 14" barreled NFA shotgun but, I don't se...

The Nano is a solid choice. Tried an early model on a whole range of pistols and was impressed. 22lr worked pretty darn well too. The 380ACP was neat as can be too.
