Re: silencerco new sparrow
@ BAYOU -I don't know what your budget is for a .22lr can but if you're wanting the best as far as suppression level, the AAC Element is quieter than the TL and Sparrow. Its FRP was only 117.2 db and its average db rating was 115.8. It's only 1 db quieter than the Sparrow in average, but the Element...

Re: silencerco new sparrow
@ BAYOU- Be cautious with making judgments on suppressors based off of video clips, they can be very misleading. There could be some other variable too that we're not aware of making the difference in that video, but usually the audio alone does a poor job in portraying the actual sound of a suppres...

Re: silencerco new sparrow
@JohnInNH
-Could be... In the same test with a 10/22 rifle as the host, notice that the Sparrow is only around a decibel better than the TL on both FRP and overall average, which to our ears probably wouldn't even be discernable. I'd like to see a test using the Mk III as a host as well...

Re: silencerco new sparrow
The MAJ just submitted a test between .22lr suppressors using CCI. Here's the summary between the two:
Silencerco Sparrow- FRP= 122.4 db Avg. db rating= 116.9
Kodiak TL- FRP= 128.2 db Avg. db rating= 122.5
-Hope this helps. (Test results from a Walther P22)

Re: RRA LAR-8: Anybody here own or shot one?
I had a 20'' for a while, it would usually do about 1 MOA with match-grade ammo, but compatability with other 7.62mm AR parts are an issue. Got rid of it and got an 18'' DPMS SASS, and have been extremely impressed as it is averaging .5-.6 MOA consistently. Another issue with the RRA is it won't acc...

Call the ATF and ask them- then get a copy of whatever they say and take it with you so you don't get hung up.
Re: SDN-6
Alright thanks for the advice... Also, I have a 5.56 SBR with a 10.5" barrel. I have an M4-2000 pending but have yet to order a 51T mount. Which type of mount do you recommend? I will only shoot semi-auto...
Re: SDN-6
DPMS SASS and Armalite SASS
SDN-6
I realize the SDN-6 performs better than the other 7.62 AAC cans on barrels shorter than 18", and the others perform slightly better than the SDN-6 on barrels longer than 18". I have an 18" barrel with a 51T QD mount, so I am right in the middle of the road. Will one of your cans perf...
