Re: K-Baffles: 60° or shorter to fit more of them?
K baffles work better than cones on pistol type rounds. They do. Once you get into supersonic rifle stuff cones work better.,

Well it's not like you guys had any actual choice in 2016. It was Bozo the Friggin' Clown or Hillary Goddamn Clinton. How was that a choice? It's what the billionaire class decided for you, either way. Not saying we're any better off up here. Andrew the Snivelling Coward Scheer on the Conservative ...

Re: “Solvent traps”
Heres the ones I really like. The 60 degree Cerberus wavelocks. They lock together and its impossible for them to rotate once compressed, The clips will always align if you do your job of clipping them correctly . Ti and SS baffles. Heres the rub. Cerberus is going out of business and the stock they...

Yeah this was on Q and no Trump isn't 2nd amendment friendly. Its almost like he's a New York Billionaire. Biden/Harris and the whole inevitable Democratic House and Senate you people brought down on us by electing Trump in the first place will be worse. Drain the swamp...F--k sakes. Ride it out and...

Re: “Solvent traps”
I have several form 1 silencers built from solvent traps. Some of the baffles are works of art and are as good or better than anything you'll find in a commercial can. I finish mine with a lathe so the holes are bored true and I clip with a mill. Its all about how much effort you put into it. The Ce...

Re: How Would Ghandi Deal With Screaming Protesters
India got independence from Britain after Britain nearly went benkrupt fighting two consecutive world wars and Indian fighters had spent two hundred years fighting British colonial rule. It was no longer economically feasible to continue colonizing India. Ghandi was a reverse scapegoat. "Look a...

I think it would be a lot simpler just to buy a boring bar holder and make a bushing for it.

Yeah you always clip. Major difference in performance. File your form 1 and your parts will be in around the time the form comes back.

Re: Been awhile,,,
I think the best thing going for 60 degree cones are the Cerberus wavelink. https://www.cerberusmfg.com/product-page/copy-of-wavelink-diy-wheel-sample-pack-dud-s If you want to spend a lot there are better options like the Quell tech FLO . You can get one pretty quiet with these but the $$$ per dB g...

Re: Serial number on silencer
I wouldnt call 17-4 stainless steel a compromise at all. Its a little heavier than Ti but who cares? Titanium tubes are hardly ever optimized for strength vs thickness. They just take the same size tube that was made in Stainless and make it out of Titanium. 1 1/2" OD with 1.355 ID or thereabou...

Commercial 90-10 Bronze screen is readily available from several makers and several sellers. OK. Commercial Bronze is technically brass.

The bronze does burn up in the fist stage. The washers are a real bitch to make since there is
nothing like it in the commercial market. I would have built this one that way if there were. They do work well.

Re: Hi Standard
No idea on what they did with the original HS can although I'd assume its the same configuration Hi Standard did on the 45 ACP silencers they built for the grease guns which was just a scaled up HDMS setup. Ported barrel in the first stage wrapped with bronze screen with screen washers in the second...

Neat guns and cheap. Hi Standard G380 with 1 1/8" OD 4340 tube and 15 qty XRT baffles cut to 10.5 mm and double clipped. The G 380 was Hi Standards late war contract for the OSS to replace the HDM with something a little more powerful . It was designated the P380 and Hi Standard delivered ONE s...
