Re: Looking for a offset 9mm silencer
The G-380 was originally designed by Hi Standard just for an integral silencer. They had delivered one to the OSS by the end of the war with its integral silencer for evaluation. Unfortunately I cant find a picture. The war ended and the government cancelled the contract and Hi Standard built the G-...

Re: Will you show me yours if I show you mine?
Thanks but I'm not entirely sure youtube existed in 1998. In any case thats not a can I was truly proud of. Basically a 1943 design. The "new" integral is louder but it lasts more than 100 shots. Those old school perforated tube with a bunch of screen were pretty damn quiet with no FRP but...

Re: Will you show me yours if I show you mine?
My first form 1 can from 1998. Perforated tube can with expanded aluminum screen packing. Stupid quiet but the packing didnt last long between changes. I still have the gun with an entire different moocore form 1 can on it. My 20th century machine work wasnt half bad. Then... https://imagizer.images...

Looking for some 7/8"-24 end caps
i'm putting together some 8" long tubes for a couple of Mark 2 rugers and I need some end caps. Ive got the threaded tubes already but I'm looking for end caps threaded 7/8"- 24. Doesnt seem to bea lot of interest in the form 1 can world for 22 stuff. They can be solid no problem. Anyone g...

Re: Baffles or ???
Somewhere along the lines silencer builders got away from Maxims original baffles designs which although they werent terribly efficient they worked and started doing all kinds of goofy stuff like chore boy packing, expanded metal screen etc. Some work pretty good. I did a 22 silencer decades ago tha...

Re: Integrally Suppressed vs Detachable Can
Yeah most integrals the tube and baffles can be removed. The break being that you can't just unscrew it and use it on another gun.
If I could have integrals on all my guns I'd do it.

Looking for a offset 9mm silencer
I picked up a G380 High Standard I want to turn into a somewhat integral suppressed pistol probably cutting it just ahead of the receiver and threading it for a silencer and installing a front sight on the silencer. Anyway what is good out there for a offset 9mm silencer short on top but most of the...

Re: More Chinacore.
9/32" or .280" bore size. Its a bit thick in the webbing which does add a little weight but I think its a little deceptive given that its only 7/8" diameter. It is stainless steel so its cleanable in the dip. Considering its about 1/3 the weight or less of the bull barrel that was ori...

More Chinacore.
This was a Stainless Steel Chinese "muzzle brake" That was 1" OD. I turned it down to .870" to fit inside a 1" OD tube to go on a integral Mark 2 Ruger . Original: https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/800x432q90/924/RtDqHk.jpg After reducing the OD https://imagizer.imageshack....

Re: A couple of Chinese form 1 cans.
Its a CMMG upper conversion with 4.5" dedicated barrel and sleeve. Standard pistol upper receiver. Nothing fancy. I'll get some pics of the internals later. 9 K baffles .280 bore with clip and skirt cut. The .22 is REALLY quiet with almost no FRP. The 9mm is OK. Nothing to write home about but ...

AAC Dead to me.
I have had a 45 Tirant silencer about 5 or 6 years ago. Its a good silencer. Works well and I have a bunch of pistons and adapters so I was thinking of buying another for compatibility. I did have an issue with it a few months ago where all the guts went downrange. I found them all and I didnt see a...
