Here's a few red flags for you. "This is not uncommon. This is reasonable. This is what police agencies do to diffuse potentially volatile situations," Medford Police Deputy Chief Tim George said. http://kdrv.com/page/166035 Who determines it as reasonable? Medford Police Chief Randy Schoe...

I would like to know what information was given to the SWAT team commander and who authorized it. I find it hard to believe that someone in a position of authority, approved the use of the SWAT team or the assembling of officers without a warrant written or judgement carried out. Maybe the deputies ...

Something you might check into is the Sheriff may have altered a legal document. The Form 4 is just that. There is no provision in the TN law or in Federal law that allows for a CLEO to alter the document, only that basically your not a suspect under investigation for a crime, a nutcase or in violat...

Something interesting was the NC Constitution was very similar in its original draft to the Declaration of Independence until Article 1 Section 1 was changed(?1967?). Only 2 words changed but significantly changed it's meaning. The 2 words that were changed were from "men"(natural Man) and...

Until you posted the BOLO, it kinda pissed me off as well, but if your open carrying this thing, the Sheriff smells trouble and probably questions your judgement. I don't know how well your thinking this through, but your good intentions could wind up restricting your/our "restricted enough&quo...

If you have to remove it from the laminate just use an X-acto knife. I just didn't laminate mine on the highest temp. setting and it didn't bond to the paper or affect the document in any way. Or go with Kramers advice and just use page protectors. :D

I laminated my originals and they don't leave the safe unless I'm making copies for a range trip. And my copier has no problems with the lamination as far as quality of the copies goes. Hell, make a 1/2 dozen copies and keep them with your original and when you go to the range grab one and put it ba...

You/your atty. may contact the NFA registry and possibly explain the scenario and provide invoices/receipts and so on from the time you purchased the Title I firearm, to the time it was completed as an AOW from the Class 2 Manuf. and shipped to the dealer. Once this has been established you/your att...

Just reading their website and there are so many proofreading errors... I hope they do better on their documentation than their website. I'd be damned embarrassed  . Don't get me wrong.. I am glad there is someone out there willing to do this for Class 3 items, if someone chooses to.

Thanks for all the info. I've got my Form 1 typed up and I'll probably send it in tomorrow. That being said, I guess I'll look around for someone to turn the barrel, thread it 1/2-28 and repark it to match Vectors finish or either turning the trunion, maybe just milling the trunion and threading the...

IIRC, I think the examiners are assigned according to FFL or your last name. I think it they change examiners from time to time, but for the most part they're all probably swamped.

A new Uzi to SBR

I recently picked up a Vector Uzi and know of a dealer that has a SMG bbl. but after comparing apples to apples, I noticed the SMG bbl had a shoulder 'bout 1/3 of the way from the muzzle. I know the bbl won't fit in my Uzi without some lathework and a APPROVED FORM 1, but short of driving back to BF...

The only way I can see that you might be able to bring it back might be as a training aid or something within your Bn. or Co.
