Re: Ready to buy a 10.5" upper and compatible suppressor but
I have four 10.5" uppers on pistol lowers, two of which will be sbr'ed soon. One of the uppers is a rock river upperin .223 with a Adams arms gas, one is a model one upper in 7.62x39, one I built with a delta company arms 300 blk barrel and another .223 I built from spare parts. All work well ...

Remington 1100
Is it possible to sbs a Remington 1100 yourself? Once you get your form 1 back of course. Would you just open up the gas ports after you chop the barrel? What drill bit would you use to make it reliable?

Re: Slide Fire Solutions FULL Auto
John, This is not a devise to make a machine gun.. A machine gun as you well know is a gun that will fire more than one round with a single pull of the trigger. The Slide fire stock is an aid in pulling the trigger faster.. so it is just helping us to control the SEMI AUTO fire of the firearm. I ha...

Changing lengths on an SBS
Can you make an already registered sbs shorter, like go from a 14" Remington 870 barrel to a 12"? I assume you would need to notify ATF, but not pay another stamp. Or if you have two barrel lengths is it like having two ar uppers, as long as one is the original size it was on your form one...

Re: I see the Accelerator is not totally dead.
I would wager these are much more accurate, with a solid stock against your shoulder and the gun reciprocating back and forth in that stock, than traditional bump firing, with the stock loose off the shoulder and you pulling it forward..

How much is a transferable ak? Plus the transfer fee, paperwork and wait? 450 is a bargain!

There was an epic thread on here about it. This is all I got when I searched http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/search.php?keywords=Rebar+cutter&terms=all&author=&fid%5B%5D=2&fid%5B%5D=5&fid%5B%5D=10&fid%5B%5D=13&fid%5B%5D=4&fid%5B%5D=86&fid%5B%5D=11&sc=1&...

Re: How important is clocking the blackout
What would the appropriately sized wrench be for a .30 caliber brakeout mount? One that fits the flats around the wrench flats snuggly :) I just use a big crescent wrench. http://www.advanced-armament.com/st/Package-BO-Card.pdf So sticking a screwdriver through the 3 and 9 o'clock ports and torquin...

Re: How important is clocking the blackout
All you should need is an appropriately sized wrench. Rocksett isn't all that strong (assuming you didn't paint it on). If you followed the instructions and just used a drop, it'll twist right off. If you used too much, you may need the water thing. Just let it sit overnight in some water. I've rem...

Re: Breakout mount out of round?
To the OP... did by any chance get paint on your threads? Even course acme threads on YHM flash hiders will drag and bind if you get even a thin coat of paint on them. Nope, no paint on the threads. The can gets resistance before it even makes it to the "rough" threads to begin turning. I...

I'm sorry I should have added that I am a police officer. I have been bugging the nice people at the nfa branch and the local ATF office over here for the past week before even deciding to post here. In NY police officers are exempt from AW ban, civilian nfa item ownership, automatic knives and suc...

Re: Breakout mount out of round?
No, the mount is a quick attach, the brakeout mount is now permanently attached to the gun. When I slide the 7.62sd onto the brakeout mount, there is resistance until I forcefully push it down onto the "rough" threads on the mount. Then after a turn the resistance disappears and the 51toot...

Re: How important is clocking the blackout
My bad it was the breakout. Since this will mostly be shot suppressed, no need to change it immediately, but if I was to do so, how would I get the mount off now that it's rocksett?

How important is clocking the blackout
I mounted my blackout on my 300 blk ar barrel using shims, rock set and torque. But I could only achieve an 11:00 position with the top hole. Will this affect performance or accuracy?

Breakout mount out of round?
After installing my .308 breakout mount on my m1a socom, I was suprised to see that I had to forcefully push my silencer (7.62 sd) down to get it on its threads, once it reached the "rough" threads it was fine and threaded on normally. Shot excellent with mil surp ammo and no malfunctions ...
