If you were planning on going in your 17' boat, you don't really need to be out of sight of land in any weather!

Just buy 10 sets of SS pliers instead... Then, when your kid drops one over board, you won't be tempted to use the kid for chum.

All I can say about the last 10 posts or so is....the hot sauce pictured with the hand cannons is awesome. Love that stuff. I discovered it at a Mongolian BBQ place. The waitress asked in broken english: "You want cock sauce?" We went "WTF???" and she brought a bottle over and p...

So if your $17,000 rifle blows up it will most likely be because of a barrel obstruction ... and not an over charged case. Probably true, but you still need a lawyer and expert witnesses to prove that, which is why it is nice to have insurance to pay for the expensive process of proving your innoce...

Griz, If both SA and DAO had the same amount of time devoted to the discipline which would yield a tighter group or a more accurate 1st shot? I'd say SA (and Bullseye shooters prove this), but for practical shooting, DA is the way to go. But I believe formal bullseye should come first. Actually I s...

Griz.... Take a stock S&W and if you have one shot to hit a quarter at 50 feet would you use it SA or DA? Granted with the practice you have you might be able to do better DA.. But 99.9% of the people with a S&W unaltered SA is a lot easier. For you you can disagree but do you honestly thin...

OK ...Friendly two hand shooters ( ha) I have decided to take the plunge. Where do I go to find out about shooting classes ? I'm game. Ive got a ready and willing P226 and an open mind. The route I personally took was to start shooting NRA AP. You will learn a lot about shooting just by shooting co...

Most people that don't compete think they are good shots.... Go try a Bullseye match sometime, they shoot nice and slow and one-handed... I would bet you'll be receiving a Marksman card in the mail :) If that goes OK, then try NRA AP, IPSC, or whatever is local. If you are secure enough in your manh...

He has gone to jail for the lower receiver FA parts in combination with the FA bolt carrier. Not true. He went to jail for having a gun that fired more than one shot per trigger pull. I find that most that don't use them are using reverse logic to explain away their sub-standard purchase. You fail at internet psychoanalysis since most of my ARs have M16 bolt carriers because at one time or another most of the uppers will see use with my RDIAS. There is nothing sub-standard about...

Yes, they are the correct part for an AR15. The AR15 was designed as a full auto rifle. It later became the M16, not the other way around. For the purposes of this discussion, how would you propose that we refer to the rifle commonly known as an "AR-15" and that was designed to fire in a ...

So that was where Olofson went wrong, he forgot where his rations were buried! You are being intellectually dishonest... Olofson's problem was not that he had a FA carrier and a broken disconnector, his fire control group was full auto only missing the full auto sear. Huge difference. What is the f...

What part of "Colt, S&W, Noveske, DD, and others ship them with all rifles" is hard to understand? ATF has approved FA carriers in all rifles. The front takedown screw that Colt uses on some rifles is just as "in-spec". They have no technical reason for doing so other than t...

Brownells has quality M16 FCGs in stock. They don't have a pony on the package, but no-one would be able to tell the difference if you throw away the packaging. The M-16 carrier is out-of-spec for a semi-auto AR-15. The AR-15 carrier is designed to keep you out of prison if your disconnector malfunc...

The solution to clubs like Robert describes is to get involved. Get on the board of directors, then get your buddies on the board, then you can make whatever rules you like. If you let the Fudds run the club and don't bother to put any effort into making it a better club, you really have no grounds ...

And this one is the one that I use on my belt for AP matches:
http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?p ... ber=316263

It is designed for 8 1911 mags (designed for NRA AP which has 8 strings of fire on each of the 4 Bianchi Cup events). It holds 8 (or more, maybe 12) rimfire mags just fine.

Ahh, never heard of them. What I found is currently out of stock, but backorder ok at MidwayUSA. For some reason I thought the OP wanted a 'tactical' type rig to wear the mags on him. I have one of those, I never use it though. I use these: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=214716...
