The Thundertrap is old but I have no reason to believe it is not still among the best. The dB of it has been published in Al Paulson's books. I don't remember exactly what it was. I know for a fact that not all designs are as good. I have fired a very well made and high quality and expensive .30 can...

Yes, that has the adaptors. I would love to test it, and will ask Gemtech when we do the 9mm tests.

The SRT were the most used. The Tac-Inv were new when I got them, but part of a 1.5 hour shooting session where we broke in the cans. All of the used cans were cleaned in Acetone a few days before and then blown out, and shot out -- to try to uniform them all and ensure they were dry. The cans that ...

It was 121db linear. This is about the same as the average .22 pistol can I tested on a P22. People are surprised becausea they loaded a .308 cartridge into the rifle and brace for something louder and with more recoil.

It is a screw-on but 22 inches long. Made by Sound Tech. There is a 16 inch barrel inside there.

The only one I have tested so far is this one and it is friggin amazing. 39.6dB with subsonic ammo. It did much less well with supersonic ammo (in the low-mid 20s) on the meter, but still sounded very quiet and comfortable to fire. It seems that some designs do well with both supersonic and subsonic...

We have an older Norell 10/22 and it is pretty good. We have an AAC Czechmate incoming which I expect to be scary quiet. At some point we should test 10/22s and will ask LRM and some of today's hot makers to participate.

We will do .50 BMG suppressors for sure. The problem is that I prefer to test them on 1 inch by 14 TPI as that is what the McMillan bolt action has. Most are made for the Barrett and have 1 inch by 14.5 TPI. I would rather test on a bolt action to show more of the can and less of the action. The que...

When we get to .308 cans I will try to get all of those. My guess is -- that older designs are not always improved upon and they will hold up well to the latest models more than people might think.

When we do 9mm cans, we will do them both for a Glock 17 and for an MP5. You are welcome. I have to wonder -- once you are really experienced what will you do with your "NFA Newbie" name? You will outgrow it soon.
