5.56 MAMS starting to roll out

Got a call from a customer that his 5.56 MAMS is in route. I've been holding a KAC 14.5" for him since January, since I need to pin/weld for the non SBR route.
I'm really glad to see that the new products are rolling out.

Re: Missouri House Bill 633

I totally agree, but what should we do to gain some ground? I liked what was referenced in "The Blaze" ok, Drudge showed a local story. I'm really hoping to find something better to link directly to, but I'm unfortunately limited. This is new territory for me. For whatever reason, my iPhon...

Re: Missouri House Bill 633

Maybe so? How would my infringing of their First Amendment rights be worse than their infringement of my Second Amendment rights? Originally, my goal was to make anti Second Amendment legislation and enforcement unconstitutional. Those that swore a Condtitutionsl oath would then become "domesti...

Missouri House Bill 633

I suggested this to Rep Mike Leara last Friday. Originally I proposed something much tougher, but this is still pretty good. Proposes a class D felony for any legislator to introduce any anti gun legislation. There's a lot of articles on the web. I'm looking for a good one now to post a link to from...

Re: Kevin B - Mounting SR25 EMC and EMR Suppressors

Something is up?
Mine only take minor thumb pressure to engage the latch.
Are you sure that the can is on all the way and rotated correctly?
Is anything obviously binding?
Maybe check out the pins on the gas block?

That sounds better as a 2 day instead of the 3 days before Thanksgiving.
I may just give it a shot.

Re: NEW URX PIX

16"?
That looks almost identical to my suppressed 14.5" URX 3.1 combo. Does the can reflex back over the barrel some? Or is it a 14.5" with a pinned flash hider to 16"?

Re: SCAR 17 with AAC 51t MB & 762 can

Honestly, my whole SCAR experience has been disappointing, I bought into the hype and bought multiple 16s and 17s. It was a waste of money for me. FN makes great products, the SCAR reliability was good, but it fell short in usability. I like FN parts you can PM me for details on the SCAR stuff

Re: IMI ammo abrasive?

I've had good luck so far with other IMI ammo. There's something wrong with this ammo for sure. Its loaded to capacity, nothing to shake and hear? I did keep a partial box to pull apart later, but haven't done it yet. Its late tonight, I'll post the lot number on the box tomorrow.

The tripod mount does help out! Manfrottoo with the Larue mount work well.

EDIT: Fixed errors from having spell check "on" on my iPhone that made the statement make no sense whatsoever! Oops.

Re: Slide-lightening + suppressor?

Not exactly the same scenario, but there were some guys that modified heavier Glock 20 slides for .45 barrels on suppressed guns to delay the breach opening for less port noise. So lightweight slides may not be the best combo with a silencers.

Took me a little bit, but I have the pictures of the early and the new magazine differences emailed to me directly from Magpul.
I have no idea how to post pictures, so if anyone is interested, PM me with your email address. I'll forward it, maybe someone here can post it?

Re: IMI ammo abrasive?

Last update on this. The upper wouldn't run any better than the end of the last range trip mentioned above after 500 additional rounds to that trip. Im retiring this upper and ordering a MOD 1 SR 15 upper to replace it. Sold the rest of that lot of IMI ammo, I warned the buyer of my issues, he wasn'...

Re: IMI ammo abrasive?

Update: Replaced the gas tube, new Colt carrier with key, new KAC bolt (with field repair kit parts). Also had some known good mags, recoil springs, buffers, lots of LC M193, and a lot of lube. First couple of mags had a lot of short strokes, but got better as I went. After 210 rounds, did a quick c...

Re: Anybody have issues with Magpul Pmags in their SR 25s?

The replacement mag bodies haven't shown up yet, but I was able to borrow a couple of newer Pmags. The newer mags are relieved more on the bodies in the bolt catch area. Looks like the issue should be resolved.

Re: New SR-25 - Must have accessories

You'll definately want all the SR25 specific cleaning equipment. Bore guide, brushes, etc. Besides that, it's like other AR's, it depends on what you want to do? There's no point in spending money on things you don't need or use.

Re: EMC and getting some work done

It's definately not the easiest swap. Takes some tooling, heat gun, and some time. And even more time if you have to swap the nut. It's worth it to me, I like the URX series rails. I don't have time to do a swap, Marvin might? He's pretty busy. Don't know anyone else off the top of my head with a SR...
