WHY, Ruger, why...

Why did Ruger start pressing in barrels on the Mark III? This seriously annoys me.

Just bitching that I need to go make MORE tools and jigs since I can't just toss it in a barrel vice and unscrew it like I did with MkII Rugers...

Re: 14" mossberg pgo not nfa?

My worry is that things like this, if they become common, could be marked as a "DD". How shitty would it be if ALL PGO shotguns were declared DDs? :(

Re: Support Gun Rights: BUYcott Starbucks on February 13 – 1

I have never bought anything from Starbucks. Mostly because I don't drink coffee, but also because I just don't like their atmosphere or overpriced drinks. However, now that they've adopted an anti-gun stance, I'll happily tell them that while I respect their rights as property owners to make their...

Re: Support Gun Rights: BUYcott Starbucks on February 13 – 1

http://news.starbucks.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=332 Our Starbucks family knows all too well the dangers that exist when guns are used irresponsibly and illegally. Without minimizing this unfortunate reality, we believe that supporting local laws is the right way for us to ensure a safe envi...

Re: Bulletproof Transparent Aluminum

Hard to believe they can do something like this isn't it? Sapphire glass has been around a while, I first started hearing it used for armor at least a decade ago. Using AlON is even better than using Al2O3 (straight-up aluminum oxide), as they said. Neat use of a strange ceramic. :) In a 1989 revie...

Re: F/A HK sear pack on E-bay??

I still shudder to think that there really is no straight-up hard and fast list of guidelines showing why H&K FCGs are registered items, and things like CETME packs (with autosear, selector, etc.) aren't.

That just looks so good. :D

Thanks for getting back to me on the mags, I haven't seen them anywhere else for cheaper either. It's the only thing keeping me from putting one of these rifles on my want list. Who knows, if they turn out to sell well the magazines will probably drop in price.

If someone were to blockade US ports, would it be an act of war? If so, our actions are, as well. If not, please explain why not. :)

If people want to call supporters of limited government "cult-like", that's quite alright. It's their right.

Oh, okay, so you have about a foot of about 1.5" stock. Still, that saves you, what, $200 or so on materials? Good friend, to give you that as scrap. :) Remember to take aggressive enough cuts or the surface will just laugh at the tool bit. I really do hate machining 718 but I love the material...

Basically, it catches the long chip against the lip and snaps or breaks it to make smaller pieces instead of long, sharp, dangerous strands. :)

It was in 1981 that a decision was made. The case in question is Warren v. District of Columbia. Here's a link.

Funny. I see in Article 1, Section 6 of the Constitution that representatives and senators can't have this happen, but I see no such protection for the President. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session...

Yes. Not my cup of tea, so I stay well away. I briefly entertained ideas of building made-in-MT stuff, then I came to my senses.

Seriously, I'm glad I realized what I was considering - that would have been a very costly mistake.
