1911 Can attachment

I know I can be the first to think of this. With all the trouble that we have with browning type actions cycling properly with a suppressor, why not attach the can to the barrel bushing? Use a barrel bushing that extends past the muzzle and is threaded to something like 3/4x24 or something large. Bu...

One More Trust Question

Ok. Im almost done with my trust. Last question is, who in the trust may possess and use the NFA items? Any/all of the beneficiary's, and trustees? Just me? Also, the spot where it asks my name and it names the trust that, does that have to be my name or can I name that something else? If so, what s...

I think they just do a normal background check just like if you were buying any other firearm. As long as you are able to buy a Handgun you will be fine. Correct me if Im wrong guys.

K-Baffle Idea

What if instead of making the angles of a K-Baffle smooth like normal you made them ridged? It would add a bunch of surface area to cool the gas and such wouldn't it? It might be a little bit heavier but not much if any. What do yall think? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/McLarenross/K-baffle...

Re: Monolithic Baffle Design for 5.56/.223 - need help.

.223/5.56 that will not be used in full auto applications. I wouldn't use steel for all the baffles, just the blast baffle. Use 6061 aluminum for the tube and other baffles. Use steel for the end cap that threads to the barrel. And I do agree that you should use 1/2x28 and not 1/2x20 as it is a muc...

Ok so some have porting and some dont. The few pics I could find of them had the ports on the piston shaft. I would think this would fill this area up with gas and prevent full cycle. No? Does any one have good pics of one disassembled? Or possible a CAD of one? This is what I have so far. I decided...

Wont that extra hole allow gas to flow more freely? Also, What about this? Is this a working Neilson device? This will be on my 1911. Used my 22 can drawing and added the booster inside. Only thing I cant figure out is how to keep the baffles from moveing under fire. Ideas on that? http://img.photob...

Ok. Here is my basic K-baffle design. Same materials, same basic specs. 0.290 ID through ought though. Now, do I have the baffles oriented the correct way. Ive seen designs with them facing both ways so Im not sure which is correct. This direction, it seems would disrupt the gas the most. Also, what...

Cool guys. Thanks for the complements. The only thing I cant figure out on the K-Baffle is how do i make the angles? Ive seen fixtures to cut tapers, like Morse Tapers, is that what I need to cut the Ks? Yes, Im using eMachineShop.com's software. Its ok but you are limited in your works angles. I ma...

Hello folks. I have been interested in suppressors and suppressor design for a good while now and I will turn 21 in a few months and be able to get my Form 1 finally. I have gone through many designs and I think I have settled on one. I have a 7x12 mini lathe and a mini mill that im ok with, I can t...
