It does need to match the form.
Do I need to file a 5320.20 for the suppressors?
If you wish. There's no requirement to notify for interstate movement of silencers, but if you want a paper trail it's a good idea.

Anywhere from $300 to $600 seems to be standard.

Re: HK trigger pack swap

Lets run a hypothetical situation through. Normally a rifle can not become a pistol. However, if a rifle becomes a macginegun by conversion devices, can it then become a pistol when the conversion device is removed? Or does it still have to be a rifle as a non NFA device? In that situation, no. It ...

From the sound of it, I'd be hesitant to shoot it without a can. No crown job, who knows where those bullets are going.

Yes, it's not a new thing. I've seen it described elsewhere as the adaptation of the Hegelian dialectic to politics (I have my doubts that that's totally accurate, but whatever). The reasoning goes, if you want to obtain an outcome that the public at large will not accept, first you create a problem...

I'd love to know why this isn't common. Do manufacturers really not see a demand?

Re: So what's your take on the 30 year sentence law?

I know this is all theoretical, but the gist of the article is that mandatory sentencing does not allow for reasonable jurisprudence and, in the worst case, may specifically designed to discourage NFA item ownership. As I mentioned above, 924(c)(1) is not a sentencing enhancement, it's an element o...

Re: Question about moving and my trust

Second question is, what do I need to do to notify the ATF of my move and what do I do to my trust that was initally set up with quicken will maker for Maine? In terms of notifying ATF, it depends on what the trust currently owns. Anything NFA other than silencers and AOWs requires you to submit th...

Ok if I own a sear trigger pack, can I buy an sp89, ditch the semi trigger group, put fa trigger group in sp89, add stock, no need to sbr? (or take a 94 and chop barrel) Yes. Machineguns have no barrel or overall length restrictions. Once you remove the conversion device the gun has to be legal, ho...

There's nothing wrong with "good enough" if you know the score going in - you're not getting top of the line, and you're going to be stuck with it for the rest of your life (barring unusual circumstances). Buying a silencer is like getting married. You're in it until one of you dies, unles...

I think I've seen someone get a Form 1 approved for a machine gun, but I don't know what b...

Well, criminal use of registered silencers in possession by their registered owners is virtually non-existent. There's no evidence that criminal use of any silencers by anyone is anything other than vanishingly rare. The state's had seventy years to prove silencers have a strong connection with cri...
