I also don't like being lied to by AAC about not being able to take my Evo40 apart for cleaning and warrantee service. Then I have to pay Dave over at Liberty 200$ to do it, which in turn, voids my so called "warrantee". That's not really a lie. We did not build it to be a take apart sile...

The width has nothing to do with the sight picture. What matters is the height from center bore to the top. On my Trident this value is .689". I know what he means. If the width is 1.3", then that circle centered with the barrel is 1.3" in diameter, and it is just like having a tube ...

It would cost Remington a lot of money to stop selling silencers on the commercial market. It would not make business sense.
