Re: Who here has TAD gear?

I have the Stealth soft shell jacket as well as a Ranger LT fleece hoodie (both made in USA) and love them. I wear the hoodie to the range and around the house all the time, you will not be disappointed.
I also have a bunch of Arc'teyrx stuff and rank the quality of the TAD gear stuff right up there.

Re: Which Mid-Length Barrel Fits KAC Mid Rails?

Interesting. I wonder if an extreme chop of an FSB (remove everything that isn't directly related to diverting gas, including the front half forward of where the gas tube stops (yes, the front pin too). No need as these are now being made by a few manufacturers, one company calls it a ultra compact...

Re: Which Mid-Length Barrel Fits KAC Mid Rails?

i dont know of one with "KAC gas system" but i was thinking that you could machine the gas block and the rail to fit? seems like someone here has pulled that off before? Yes, I've done this before with a non KAC style mid-gas barrel. http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=91&am...

Re: I present to you .....

So do the notches in the suppressor and yhm muzzle mount just ratchet against eachother until tight? Do they wear down quick with alot of install\removal? I always figured there was a spring of somekind in the can keeping it's rear notches under tension to mount tight but have some give as well? Do...

Something like this.

I can tell you that with my .50 bmg can the brake is definitely more effective without the tube around it.

Why didn't you put the ratcheting indents all the way round? I plan to put one every ten degrees, like the Phantom has. The mount only has 4 teeth so I only made notches in those areas where the can is tight. Plus I needed space for the spanner holes. Looks great! What did you coat/finish your's wi...

The black disc is the rear of the flash hider is part of the locking mechanism in the QD mount. I made this to fit a YHM QD phantom mount. http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk219/WhisperFan/Firearms/YHMmount.jpg I asked YHM, about their thread specs, but they did not disclose, so I had to reverse-...

I cut this one at 12.75 and it has run great with or without the can using Q3131A. If you want to be safe 13.5 is going to be a good number.
