Hard to tell if the OP actually had this happen or if he is just asking out of curiosity. I would be interested to know if this has actually happened, I would imagine it would leave a nice little black eye or pinch the living daylights out of your cheek between the handle and tube. I second what vette said, the 1:10 rifling is better for stabilizing subsonic rounds. I don't know if you are set on a 20'' bbl, but AAC also offers the .308 SD with a 16.5'' bbl, which makes for an excellent compact precision rifle. Winchester White Box 147gr JHP goes supersonic in my MP5 (8" bbl), but stays subsonic in my Glock 17.

It's a good choice for a factory sub load. It's quiet, and fairly accurate; if I recall correctly it hovered around 1 MOA.

Perhaps they intended the rifle to be used in the LE and/or hunting environments. Both would be mostly using full-power rounds, but would also benefit from having a suppressed rifle.

I saw there's one on GunBroker with a 1/2x28 thread pitch for $1,000. Pretty cool gun, but I'm sure those aren't factory threads, and it isn't from MOSSAD.
