Letter from NFA Branch came yesterday!! not so "yay"..
Well I thought I had a tax stamp yesterday. Nope. The trust name was xx and xx revokable living trust. But on the form one I just put xx and xx living trust. That was no-no number one. Number 2 was "any legal purpose". NC used to be experiment, development purposes but our laws changed and...

Re: Savage Cancels 300 AAC Blackout
I have numerous Blackout rifles. All of them I have cut and chambered the barrels. For supersonic hunting I use the Green Mountain gatlin gun barrels. they are 1-10" and between 16 and 18" long, lightweights, bulls flutes not flutes etc. All are pretty consistent. They HATE Hornady 110 gr....

Re: How's the HF 7x10 lathe?
Keep an eye on scrap yard in gboro. 3Months ago a local business sent 5mills, 10 LARGE lathes as well as numerois drill presses, and bins of tooling to the scrap yard. Almost all were in good used condition before shipping. The company refused to sell them as tools for fear of liability. I picked up...

Re: How's the HF 7x10 lathe?
I have the 7x14? It is under powered to say the least. Also the fu@king fuse blows if you try to get a decent cut going in 4140. BUT it is surprisingly accurate. Just dont trust the markings on it. Measure the actual piece often. When someone comes to the shop they have to use it before movin to the...

Re: 5.5" Noveske KX3 = suppressor?
There was a company making 4 piece bulgarian flash suppressors ( what the noveske is based on) that had been extended an inch or two. Believe they stated they were batfe approved. Iwill have to do a little search foo on it.. Perhaps one of these would work for you. IIRC the user name was obiwanjovi ...

Put a length longer then you intend. You can always contact BATFE later and advise them of the shorter length. You cannot make it longer then you state.

A different idea on omega baffles
While I wait on my form1 Ive been looking at the different designs and reviews. I like the omega's and ( with permission) am planning on using this design. But as look at the theoretical gas flow in the omega, I wonder if this idea might be better. The plan is for a sbr length blackout super and sub...

Did I screw up on my form 1??
I just read a thread on another form indicating that I should have put the diameter of the tube and the length of it in the block marked over all length I only put the length in. Do I need to call and correct this or will it be approved as is? What did you approved form1 people do?

blast chamber suggestions on a 300 black/.308
This will be a form 1 build. I plan on primarily using the can on a 300 blackout, both super and subsonic (9" bbl) but will occasionally use it on an ar10, .308.(16" bbl) I need some suggestions on the blast chamber area. Od of can is planned to be 1.625", with a 2.5" reflex area...
