My CAC45 goes on everything with various thread adapters. Or you might talk Tom into making you a 5/8-24 mount for the can. I still see them for sale from time to time. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v632/GarrettJ/100_3415.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v632/GarrettJ/DSC01793.jpg http://im...

Is that $650 for just the base gun, or the suppressed model?

I recently loaded up some 147 Zero JHPs with 3.4 of Titegroup. I just shot a couple of these over the chrono. From an M11/9 SMG, I got an average of 914 fps. The chamber on the M11 is fairly loose. I suspect you would get more velocity out of a pistol chamber. I didn't have the Glock with me, but I...

Is anyone using the LWD M23 "9mm conversion" barrel in a Glock 19? I suspect that one won't work in a Glock 19. They make "conversion" barrels so you can shoot 9mm through a gun set up in .40 by a simple barrel & magazine change. The hood of the barrel is wider to accomodate...

I have 1189 fps from a 10" SSK Contender barrel.

10.5 gr. H110
Sierra 220 gr. RNSP
1.235 OAL

Might need to back that load off some.

Zero bullets makes a 147 gr. FMJ-RN. I usually use their JHPs, as they cost about the same, but some places won't let you shoot steel targets with JHPs. I recently loaded up some 147 Zero JHPs with 3.4 of Titegroup. I haven't had a chance to chrono them yet, but they shoot well in the Uzi, and cycle...

Wideners has some IMI 9mm 158g fmj bullets at: http://wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=6788&dir=278|281|304|325 no idea of load data for them though. Cool. I might have to try some of these. I usually run 147s in subgun matchs because the heavier bullets do a better job taking down hard set ...

A Contender makes a fun SBR. Even though they are budget priced, I've heard good things about the NEF rifles. If you already have the gun, try it out and see how well it shoots before you pay to register it.

I've always done them for a 12-month period, not the calendar year. Currently I have approved forms for various states from: 5-1-06 to 4-30-07 8-26-06 to 8-25-07 2-1-06 to 1-31-07 to name a few. I think I rarely go Jan 1 to Dec 31. Besides, I understand a number of people do it that way. Seems NFA b...

No kidding? Does it require a C&R license for MI? If so do you send a copy along with the 5320? I need to fill one out before the holidays so the old man and I can shoot some quiet stuff. And what dates are viable? i.e. Can I say November 15, 2006 to November 15, 2007? MI is no longer a C&R...

If you read the text of the state law on MGs & silencers, in conjunction with the AG's opinion letter on MGs, there is no conclusion you can come to other than that silencers are legal. That being said, since the opinion letter only referred to MGs, ATF is holding off on silencer transfers until...

Of course, you should check with Craig for an official ruling. If I were a manufacturer, and I had a .22 can "rated for full-auto", I would want to make it able to withstand a full mag dump from an AM-180. With that in mind, an all-aluminum can would probably be just fine with controlled b...

I wonder how one of the 357 lever guns would work. You would probably have to have someone cut back the magazine tube by a round to allow for threading, but you would have the advantage of a closed breach repeater. May look a little odd. I don't know if anyone makes one in a .357, but Ruger makes a...

It should work just fine, and is not an uncommon practice. It should not be as apparent with a pistol can. I used to have a .44 barrel that I would use with a CAC45 on a Contender SBR. It sounded great! However, due to the relatively heavy weight on the end of the barrel, the POI shift was excessive...

Interesting. What kind of 9mm can? Pistol or subgun can?

I've shot extensive .22LR through a CAC45 and it sounds as quiet as a dedicated .22 can.
