You don't know the context of what happened. Is he homeless? Did he just finish a really dirty job (janitor's get to fix clogged toilets and other yucky messes)? Maybe he was cleaning up for a lunch hour meet and greet or date? The other thing I wonder about is why the research park doesn't have a s...

I just got off the phone with MIKE at AAC.

He said a 22Magnum on a 20 inch barrel or a 22 Hornet are no problem for this suppressor. Just so there is no confusion or concern, I won't have a 20 inch barrel on any 22 Hornet I buy (most likely a Ruger 24" model)

THANKS MIKE!

So what other cans have you actually compared to your mite?? You are mising the point The POINT here is that people who spent the big bux on other cans....are INCAPABLE of speaking of their cans WITHOUT speaking negatively of the Mite. Its Pavlovian. Its kinda funny to watch, really. The neg...

If you're getting the SS Mite, you're getting about the loudest 22LR can on the market. Look at - All can be taken apart to clean, all are vey quiet. Silencerco Sparrow Liberty Kodiac SWR Spectre AAC Elecment That's kinda like talking about the loudest whisper. I love my Mite. Small, light, and all...

Your dealer didn't let you demo a single suppressor?

No friends in Texas that you could join for a range day?

That's a pretty big leap of faith....

The .22 hornet is much hotter than the .22 magnum rimfire..That scarrab is a great can..My SOT thinks it is the quietest he's ever seen in a .22 can..including all the new stuff.. He used his for me to test my Kodiak against when it came in..I'd double check that the scarrab is rated for .22 magnum...

Can I use a 22 Magnum rifle with this suppressor?

I have an all stainless steel AAC Scarab. I was told it would be fine on a 22 Hornet. I have heard a 22 Magnum is harder on a suppressor then the Hornet so, I'm wondering if I should pick up the 22 Magnum Ruger 77/22 (20 inch barrel) I have my eye on for use with my Scarab.

TIA,
Sid

THIS ^^^^^^ is what I was referring to (above) when I said ......" ALOT of opinions about suppressors really amounts to NUTHIN" more than trying to justify their purchase of the most expensive can on the market. " Whatever dude. I'm happy with my Mite. Nuthin' you can say to make me ...

There are two basic concerns, do you want it hearing safe at the shooter's ear or do you want it to disguise your shooting position from hostile forces? I like the ones that do both. Environmental effects are hard to change. A deeper tone can be pleasant at the shooters ear but, it will also carry ...

Know your state laws. For instance, in Virginia, owning a machinegun gives the Virginia State Police the right to rape you while your dog watches (damn near, read the UMGA) -- although the VSP chooses, apparently almost universally, not to exercise that privilege. A lot of folks are well-versed on ...

Re: Range Day, AAC M42K/ HALO/YHM Phantom/ Ops 12th.

[ You're talking about what? ~$450/490 versus $525 (MSRP pricing). That is no where near a 2 to 1 price difference if you stick with main stream 22LR suppressor choices that are similar. Granted, not everyone wants or needs "Hollywood quiet" can and the weight and size that come with it. ...

The 32 and 36 Thread Pitches are there to "idiot proof" things to a degree so you don't obstruct the bore on 9mm/.355 bore with a 5.56/.223 muzzle device.

Even when comparing the tone of the suppressor? I don't know about anyone else but, without knowing the camcorder used very well, you have no real idea how accurate the tone is. Add other external factors and I give tone quality a very low reliability. After all, how many home movies have you watch...

Re: Range Day, AAC M42K/ HALO/YHM Phantom/ Ops 12th.

I often get folks baggin' my choice of the YHM Mite can. They'll scream and holler about their can (which cost twice as much as the Mite) being better, but for the $$$$, the Mite does everything I need. And to the ear, the spensive cans are NOT twice as quiet. And often barely as quiet. 8) You're t...

One thing I am glad I did not do is buy a 45 ACP can right away. I was looking at the HEMS 2 as I have been happy with my other SWR products, but now I am glad I waited as the newer 45 ACP cans perform much better especially when dry. I hope SWR releases a new 45 ACP can to compete with the TiRant ...

If moving out of state you need the 5320.20. In state, I don't think anything is required but a 5320.20 would be better then a personal letter. Where on the 5320.20 does it state that you need an address transfer for a silencer? The original poster did not specify if they had an AOW or Suppressor ....

General newbie regrets: 1) Buying dedicated cans - do you really want a dedicated mini-Uzi can or a weird thread thread pitch or barrel profile? 2) Not buying a great 22lr suppressor first - no offense to Tac-65's or YHM Mites but, spending a little more makes a lot of sense for your first can. 3) Q...

1/2 x 28 is one of the most common threadings for 9mm. How much high quality barrel steel do you need for a lower pressure handgun round in your rifle? Colt and HK seem to think it's acceptable for military use so, that would be good enough for most civilians you aren't doing destructive testing. Yo...

If you can sell 5 a year, you will make your SOT fee back. Think of it this way, if you buy one suppressor for yourself you have already saved $200 so you are only really paying $300 for the S.O.T. the first year. Just don't abuse the S.O.T. for personal use or you could see tax evasion charges. Whe...
