I once saw an internally suppressed Papoose where the whole barrel had been converted to the suppressor much like when a 10/22 is done. You might try contacting SRT Arms, as they advertise custom projects.

The Surefires had a lot of blow back of crud. The sound level was alright, but we were using some Swedish-made AP rounds since the standard 7.62mm AP round was not performing as desired. We definitely needed eye protection when shooting with the Surefire suppressor. No one was really impressed with ...

I just wanted to add an update now that I am home. The AAC Omni works well, unfortunately, it did not arrive in time for much use on this last deployment. I do like it more than the issued Surefire suppressors, though. Thanks for all the assistance.

I'm not sure where my original post went. Anyway, the Omni is a great choice. They are very slightly louder then the M4-2000. I like the Omni mount better then the Halo mount and found the performance of both to be very similar. How does the Gem-Tech compare for sound reduction to the Omni or M4-20...

Will do, sir. Hopefully, I will have them for most of this deployment. Otherwise, I'll let you know how effective they are when used for plinking cans with my personal .223s in my back pasture when I return! I know can dancing isn't as sexy of a test and evaluation, but I'm taking some down time aft...

Thank you, Wilder, I wasn't looking at their home page, but the product page and didn't see it at the top. I went back and double checked after seeing yo...

Thank you for your recommendations. Transporting the equipment overseas is not an issue. Getting them after the transfer is completed is going to be complicated if it even works as planned, but we'll see how the details work out in the wash, though.

First personally owned suppressors...HELP please!

I am deploying shortly and am planning to purchase two suppressors, but would appreciate help from those with more experience. My need is for a 5.56mm suppressor capable of handling full automatic fire and being attached with no modification to the weapon. I am currently issued an HK 416, which I am...
