Virgil Tripp (the original "T" in STI) will build you a 1911 however you want it done. I have a couple he has done for me, a Colt Lightweight Commander .38 Super and a Kimber Polymer.

We're on the same wavelength all the way. An SR-47 lower would be awesome.pacrimguru wrote:oh man, an SR-47 would be the doo doo for sure. or even a 5.56 PDW? but i'd be plenty happy with a RIFLE length MD style URX II.

I still have both of my components, but am holding off building anything, yet. I will continue to buy the special run parts as long as I can float the cost because it is a great opportunity to buy some unique products that wouldn't be available to us without Casey and Trey's interest in our forum co...

Re: FYI HK no longer allows dealer samples
As a salesman- I sell what people are wanting. Departments around me are wanting MP5s and 416s. So- I like them. In a love hate kind of way. Let me talk to them...we'll get them into some nice Colt 633s and LWRCs. :) The guys at LWRC are good people who want to sell firearms to the US market, even ...

Re: What Model Light Did I Have?
No, it really was just like an X200 with pressure pads down each side. It did not have a vertical grip; you actually just gripped the light and squeezed it to activate.Kudu22 wrote:Are you looking for these by any chance?

Re: What Model Light Did I Have?
Thanks. It was a really cool setup since it replaced the vertical front grip on the MP5K-PDW and was very easy to use; I would like to get one for a carbine of my own, but am doubting these are available anywhere...even if we can successfully identify it.

What Model Light Did I Have?
While I was deployed in 2007-2008, I used an MP5K-PDW from our armory some. It had a Surefire rail on it and a rail mounted light, similar to an X200, but the pressure pads ran along either side of the light housing and were squeezed to activate. Is this model commercially available? I have never se...

I would be willing to trade an AMX-30 chassis with Roland SAM system mounted on top of it for an M110JohnnyC wrote:Pretty sure Reed likes tanks (and truck and other military vehicles), old ones, and making old ones look new again.

I figured on some grill paint or Gunkote since I have some sitting around. I'm not too worried about the appearance, but want to be sure I protect it with something.

Re: Is there any aluminum in the Omni? (Dip/Finish Question)
The Omni has no aluminum and would not be damged by the dip. Is the dip safe? Well, not if you ask me. Good call. I tried it for 12 hours to test it. Suppressor looks bright and shiny on the inside, but the finish just wiped right off the outside. What finish comes on these? I was not expecting tha...

Is there any aluminum in the Omni? (Dip/Finish Question)
Is it vinegar/peroxide dip safe? I have the dip ready from cleaning out my Spectre, and would like to know before I dispose of it if it wouldn't hurt to drop the Omni in. What finish is on the Omni?

USMC0351, I'm guessing you're on my callback list. We were out of the office for 8 days and i think i have around 50 or so messages left to return. My preferences are adjustable sights, long triggers (usually solid), and no front serrations. Not all of mine fit that, but it's my preference. I also prefer the Commander size to full-size. If it really came down to it, I'd choose .38 Super over .45, too. The Colt Lightweight Commander .38 Super be...

No worries, I just wanted to get the receipt from you and clarify the pusher tool and wasn't sure if your AKO account was still accurate or not. If you could, mail or email a copy, I'd appreciate it. Bryon, Can I please get a copy of my receipt from my Spectre purchase from August 2008?
