Re: Round stuck inside 308 can, what now?!

I have the solution. It is called reverse electro plating. You will need about 3 volts of dc current from a battery or power supply, electrolyte solution of household ammonia, some wire and two battery clips. Three volts should be plenty and more is not necessarily better. Perhaps 100-200 milliamps ...

Re: At what point does a part become a silencer part?

He is not in the USA. That is correct. However, an American friend of mine has recently expressed interest in starting his own legal suppressor manufacturing business in the US, after watching some of my designs. He asked me to do him the favour of doing all the research as to what he needs to do t...

Re: At what point does a part become a silencer part?

Not to be a smart ass but you will probably need to write a letter Directly to the BATFE and get you permissions. If they allow it, great, if the don't, You will have to use the high priced labor of the USA to build these suppressors.

Re: Round stuck inside 308 can, what now?!

I know this sounds barbaric but i thing you have to take your silencer and hit it on a 2x4 really hard and repeatedly. Make sure your hit it on the end the bullet went in. The bullet went in so it has to come out. And with the 380 round being FMJ, it has to be nose heavy and should point downwards b...

Re: Jailbreaking the Tirant

Anyone know what material was used to manufacture the rear threads on the Tirant 9mm? The threaded part that is permanently fixed to the rear of the tube, not the removable piston housing. Thx From what i could see, ACC threaded the tube directly, thus this is why the tube has that stepped look to ...

Re: Bolt gun aside, best .308 platform for a suppressor?

If I go the AR .308 route, would a RRA LAR-8 be a decent platform? It meets my price point and looks to have decent accuracy. I have one, it is ok. Nice that it uses cheap FAL mags. Need to buy the $300 free floating rail if you want to get any accuracy out of it though. I would rather have the $30...

Re: Jailbreaking the Tirant

I have an Evo-45 and to take it apart would be quite difficult without messing something on it. Here are some perceived facts. There are no tool marks on the end cap of an Evo. So when ACC assembles it, they must be using a strap wrench and lots of thread lock. Then there is the Aluminum on Aluminum...

Re: Lets rag on some silencers.

I be serious this time... I went to a gunshow in Raleigh last weekend and i was quite surprized on how many people were selling NFA stuff. There was one vender who was a complete ass. He said that his company makes the best and quietest suppressors . http://tacticalsuppressedweapons.com/tsw/index.ht...

Re: How do I change the can's position?

The only real solution is to send take the barrel to a machine shop or gun smith and have the shoulder of the threaded barrel turned down .026". This will index your can to the barrel.

Re: Holding a bolt closed on a 9mm (Glock)

In theory, it prevents the barrel from tilting, you are essentially locking the barrel to the slide. Holding the slide prevents the tilting of the barrel, but it transfers all of it's energy to the frame of the handgun. The gun will break eventually.

Re: Jailbreaking the Tirant

The so called shitbox material makes for lightest and quietest suppressor out there. There is a reason for the stepped design of the suppressor tube- to make it lighter. BFD. Take it to the nearest machine shop and have them take of shave of 1/32" off the center and recoat with your paint. You have to be there in person because of the NFA rules but should not take 30 seconds.

So I got my paperwork back on my new Ti-Rant 9mm, put 50 rounds through it, then brought it home to jailbreak it. I boiled it in water for about 45 minutes, busted out my Tac-65 tool and attempted to take off the end-cap. It was not easy, and I was not successful. I got about 2 turns on it before m...

Re: Barrel length to keep 9mm Para subsonic

I think going with the booster is the wrong idea. The barrel on the luger is fixed to the frame. If it was me, I would port the barrel from about 2" to the muzzle and utilize a 8" long suppressor body. The blast chamber would be about 2" to 3" where the ported barrel and butt up...
