Re: 300 blackout rifle by Ruger
If it shoots they will have a winner on their hands. That could be a badass lightweight hunting rig for deer and hogs with a can and a short dot type optic. If, and or when I get mine, a 1-4 Optic is going on it. I have an order in with our local FFL, he can't complete the order until it is in stoc...

Re: Form 3 not approved?
If your dealer was in legal possesion of the item, ie. did not have to transfer it in from another dealer, then there is no need for a Form 3. Just a Form 4 transfer to you. If on the other hand, your dealer needed it transferred into them, from another dealer, then that would be done on a Form 3, a...

when a full sized can is just a tiny bit too long or heavy.
I would like to have that Saker K on a PS90 or a Tavor SBR.

Re: SBR Markings
My question is not exactly on topic but closely related. When I create an SBR from my purchased stripped lower marked cal-multi and the manufacturers logo, what information/markings am I required to add? A Title II firearm must have, name/city/state of MFG, caliber, SN. Model is optional. So if I &...

I don't have one handy, but I am positive the answer you are looking for is in the Machinist Handbook.
It has all the threads, pitches, major and minors, angles etc for all of them.

Re: bore too big?
The tighter the bore, the less gas, the less gas the less noise. With a shorty you are already sacrificing some sound reduction, I would imagine that the larger bore would also cause the can to be louder, by how much I have no clue. Don't even know if it would be noticeable to the ear in difference....

My HD setup is my EDC 1911, light and an SBR with suppressor loaded with 220 gr. 300 Blackout. ETA: Guess I didn't actually answer your question. Use what you got, going to be swapping it in and out of the safe wether you buy another pair or not anyways right? Or, use this as an excuse to get some m...

Re: Please review/critique my Form 1 design
Regarding the 'consensus' that stepped cones are best, I'd say that most manufacturers would disagree. If you look at most of the more recent builds, you'll see that smooth, clipped 60* cones are more popular, and work perfectly fine. They're easier to make, work better, and tend to be lighter than...

No clue about the silicon mitts, but if you open your action and set the weapon suppressor up, convection can help cool it. Mine stay hotter on a bench with the action closed a lot longer than on a rack with the action open.

Re: How heavy does a suppressor need to be to require a boos
I don't think there is a set weight, even for the same model firearm as each one may be different enough to have some require a booster while a few may function just fine without. Ammo impacts the equation as well. The general rule of thumb is sub-sonic ammo out of a tilting barrel design is probabl...

I DON'T put my short up...

In all likelihood, Jesse James is probably funding and designing the 'shell' and has no interest or knowledge of the internal workings of any of the products they are making now. Jesse is the packaging and exterior designing only, with his signature on it to give it 'street cred' (yes, I know that i...

Re: SBR question
You can swap back and forth all day long with many uppers on a registered/stamped lower. The only thing the ATF wants to be appraised of, is if you make a permanent change. I have a couple stamped AR lowers that I freely swap various lengthed uppers on. Here is something to consider as well. If you ...

Re: SBR question
Just one caliber and one barrel length is needed, anymore and you run the risk of confusing the ATF. Confusing the ATF usually results in a denial. An SBR is a go/no-go proposition, the ATF only cares that the barrel length is less than 16" or OAL < whatever it is. ON your form, put one caliber...
