Best,

Hi Rob. We expect them very soon. They've been out for over a month now I believe.

Re: Dead Air Mask-22

I confirmed that Form 3's are being processed, so these will be shipping soon. I'll see if we can get some teardown pics. I know it's in the works, so I'll push some buttons there. Sound testing on pistols is comfortably in the 114-116 dB range with minimal FRP. Everyone in the company has been trav...

Re: Dead Air Mask-22

Looking foreword to seeing the guts! :D Should have asked to see the inside of the guts :( Sorry, couldn't help it! A key feature we wanted in this was a way to keep sealed baffle stacks from sticking in the tube. Mike Pappas was the guy that set up the the incredible customer service system that h...

Re: SDN6 or Omega?

I own a SDN6 and a 9" MPW. I would go Omega all day and twice on Sunday. The SDN is a beast of a can and with that comes a lot of weight. The SDN comes in at 20oz with the Omega only being 14oz. That's a big difference. Two exceptions; if you shoot full auto or if you already have AAC cans and...

Re: Dead Air Mask-22

Hi Aaron,

We're now patent pending on the Mask and I'll be in the plant next week to check on production and I'll send out an update then. I'll also try to get to some renderings up tomorrow to let people get some sneak peeks on the internals. Stay tuned!

Re: A nice review

I've only ever metered one .308 can that hit 135 at the muzzle. That was a Specwar with the baffles coated with oil from the assembly process before shipping. Suppressors are so optimized right now that manufacturers are stepping over dollars to pick up pennies at the muzzle. There's a point where t...

Re: Suppresser For .30cal and .223cal.

I'm a huge fan of 7.62 cans on 5.56 platforms. 5.56 suppressors have seriously bad back-pressure issues in automatics and a good 7.62 suppressor can help that out if designed correctly. When we set out to develop the Sandman -S and -L, we first looked at what would make a lower back-pressure baffle,...

Re: Dead Air Mask-22

Production has begun, so they will be coming! I'm going to give the usual industry answer: 3 weeks. OK, in all honesty, knowing how supply chains work and the Form 3 process, it will probably be a little longer before some dealers get some in their hands. We've been waiting to show off the internals...

Re: Silencerco Omega

Silencerco wasn't jacking with the mic location, AR15.com was... Silencerco's numbers have always been within the range that can be explained by changes in conditions. Yeah, they jacked with the meter location. I think they started metering at the weapon's muzzle, not the end end of the silencer so...

Re: Anyone Try the TacSol Axiom

Those are some interesting pictures, but they look nothing like the innards on my Axiom. It's 8 K baffles in a sleeve, instructions say to point the clips away from the slot in the sleeve. Interesting. Is there a pin or feature that extends from any baffle that fits in the gap in the split tube? I'...

Re: Anyone Try the TacSol Axiom

I'm still trying to figure out how they patented the split tube. This has been done before, but I don't know if it really was used in product that went to full production. It's one of those things where you ask yourself "why didn't somebody already patent that?". But the fact you have to ...

Re: Dead Air & Mike Pappas at SHOT Show 2015

Very interesting mounts Looks similar to this, video here ... That's actually what the Saker was substantially based on (well, the SWR Renegade version of the SAI design, anyway). The rear collar turns to cam out the three retaining features behind the mount that you can then pull against to compre...

Re: osprey 9mm vs 45

OK, I have some experience with these. To me, the 9 is a tad quieter but most people probably wouldn't notice. I always noticed that the FRP on the 45 was a little louder though. I prefer the 9 because it's very optimized for its purpose. Few people realize how compact it is because they're just use...

Those are beginner moves man. 8) Core is not bent, alignment looks good. I actually never remove the core since Liberty cleans it for free. I just send it in every 10k or so. Re: WTF has gone wrong with my can?

OK, here are mine: -Junk built up on a normally tight (but just barely OK) thread relief will knock it off axis. Also, make sure the distal end of the muzzle isn't bottoming out on junk in the can. -Your core is bent from a hard removal when super dirty. -You have some lead fouling in the barrel tha...

Re: Input needed regarding Octane and 9mm jacket separation.

Also keep in mind the Octane endcap (and the tube) is only 6061 anodized aluminum, not the stronger 7075 type like in the Tirant. Wrong, the endcap on both ends of the Octanes are 7075Al. The tube is the only thing that is 6061. The Tirant has a Ti tube with an 7075Al exitcap. Hmm interesting. I ha...

Re: 17-4 ph baffles on a 10.5 sbr?

Yes, 17-4 will erode fairly quickly on a 10.5 (assuming 5.56?) inconel does a decent job, Silencerco is using stellite blast baffles but i don't know if the Saker has been out long enough to see real world results. So this actually leads to a secondary question. I contacted my suppressor manufactur...
