I had a similar issue with my recent Form 1. I contacted them via the ask an expert function of eforms and got a prompt email. A few days later my form was approved.
Patience is really a virtue when dealing with any .gov agency. With ATF, this is doubly true.

Re: Intergrally suppressed sub caliber insert idea.
Why would you need permission to take your shotgun out of the state? Silencers are immune to that req. The inner tube would have to be engraved, it doesn't have to be visible if its removable, no different than a SD type setup on an AR. Inserts would NOT be considered silencer parts unless it was i...

Re: 80% recievers
ATF does not call them 80% anything. That is a marketing thing. ATF says "send it to us and we will determine if it is a gun or not". Period. Basically they give the "80%" manufacturers a "stay out of federal prison" letter. Additionally, while ATF would "prefer&qu...

Re: Intergrally suppressed sub caliber insert idea.
This is a very cool idea and I've been thinking on it more overnight. I see 2 issues with having a suppressed sub-caliber insert completely inside a shotgun barrel. 1. Volume, or lack thereof. As Bender pointed out, with anything more than .22 or .25 there will likely be problems controlling the gas...

Not a suppressor inside a shotgun, but this project from Dr.K should get you started:

Re: Tribal Reservations can now access background checks
Just wondering...if you lived on the Rez could you build or use a full auto rifle with no consequences? I suspect that you would not only have to live on the reservation, but you would have to be a Citizen of the reservation, and you certainly could not remove the FA rifle from the reservation. Eve...

What if I use an NFA weapon for self defense?
I just submitted Form 1's for a SBR and Silencer in 300 AAC Blackout that I will be building as a house gun, and a few questions popped into my head. I will be asking all of these questions to my lawyer shortly, but thought I would ask here as well. Assumptions: 1. The NFA items are legally built an...

I just watched that video. Doesn't he have a handful of extra suppressor parts there the he is calling 20 cal reducers? He can't really have gotten approval to build that? Can he?David Hineline wrote:https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=74 ... =2&theater

Re: form 1 an 80%lower sbr
I just started to efile a Form 1. When you get to mfg, they have a pull down menu for mfg. I tried to bypass it intending to use a 80% lower, and there was a warning that if I did not select a mfg, significant delay may occur??? For $80 to buy an unmarked lower, it is not worth the attention. After...

Re: Suppressor Parts???
I believe both Gemtech and Liberty have letters from ATF stating that the suppressor accessories are not suppressor parts.
Doubloon is correct that ATF is generally arbitrary and capricious. Notice that I did not qualify that statement to limit it to part designations.

Re: Legality of form 1 SD Tactical solvent trap suppressor
So what I know so far is that: The SD solvent trap (threaded tube+ threaded end cap with NO BORE HOLE+ threaded adapter for gun muzzle) is 100% legal as a solvent trap (the ATF has said so) The solvent trap DOES become a silencer/silencer part when baffles are added and/or a bore hole is drilled in...

Re: Legality of form 1 SD Tactical solvent trap suppressor
"Intent" is hard to prove or disprove. Option 1: You file a Form 1, then buy a solvent trap and assemble it as a suppressor, your intent is obvious; and you would NOT be legal. The fact that prosecution is exceedingly unlikely doesn't matter - you have violated ATF regulations on purchasin...

Re: Added a trustee, where do I send notification?
I have been searching for an answer to this for a while with no luck. Where do I send notification that I have added a trustee to my trust? Same place as a form 20? Do I even need to send notification to the ATF? Read your trust. Mine says "While the Settlor is alive and not incapacitated; he ...

Re: Legality of form 1 SD Tactical solvent trap suppressor
You will need to check with a lawyer in your state, but I believe that if you are a trustee in a properly set up trust, you should be able to use a suppressor built by/for the trust once you are over 18. I'm uncertain on whether you would be allowed to make the suppressor. I think that most states a...

1. Engraving an existing receiver counts as making. The absence or presence of an upper does not matter at all. Can I form 1 a lower, and not have an upper for some time, or do I need to get it shortly after approval? I was thinking about a short 300BO upper build, but may wait a while to put it together.
