Re: ATF - Data Entry Answering Phones?
Maybe one of those things, where this Sr ATF official really doesn't know what he's talking about  Or....get out your tin hat for this one. Maybe they're feeding us a lie about the people answering the phone not being 'in the process' in the hopes that we'll keep calling, thus pulling them awa...

ATF - Data Entry Answering Phones?
This is from Silenced America, FB post: Take Aways: increased congressional inquiries got funding to the NFA. We need to continue to harp on or Representatives. Keep calling. Keep writing letters. Stop calling on your forms all of the time. It's causing longer waits. Data entry people answer the pho...

May depend on your examiner. I believe our TX gal (Ms Jones) has said it's not necessary for her on a trust.

Re: YHM owners - do you remove your brake when shooting open
1. Definitely not a flash hider, you'd be better served with the A2.
2. Negative
To the question in your subject, nope. I have mine stuck on with Rocksett.
Plus, if you have a can, why on earth would you shoot without it

Re: Silencershop.com e-files form 4's now
Also just got a reply to a FB post I made. It's electronic on the buyer's side. You forward a copy of your trust, buy the tax stamp (online), buy the can (online). They print the forms, print your trust, print a check for $200 and send it off to ATF. Still ends up saving me a few bucks on postage an...

Could always sign it when you get it back. I get what you're saying though. Of course the ATF copy won't have your sig on it.

Re: Silencershop.com e-files form 4's now
If you live in Texas, they can ship it straight to your house. If you live outside of Texas, it still has to go through a local dealer.

Re: Silencershop.com e-files form 4's now
Just got off the phone with Levi @ Silencer Shop and here's what he said: Similar to how they have a "waiver" of sorts with ATF to be able to ship cans directly to Texans once approved, they received a "waiver" so that no physical signature is required on the form 4 for a can pur...

Re: AK47 Pistol - SBR Progress Update
If fits perfectly, actually attaches/screws to the bottom half as well. When you install the bottom half, it has a "retaining clip" that really attaches it to the barrel. Then the gas tube goes on top of that, then the top half actually just kinda "hovers" over the gas tube and a...

Re: AK47 Pistol - SBR Progress Update
ACE skeleton stock on an ACE push button side folding mechanism. The push button mechanism definitely locks to the side when folded, not sure about the regular folding mechanism. Handguards are Midwest Industries, the original AK universal handguard. Working out good so far, I like it with a forward...

Get a pic of it on the ejection side, that'll be the easiest way to tell what it is I think.

Just the opposite.
Trust/Corp = NICS required when you pick up the item
Individual = no NICS required when you pick up the item

If it were me, I'd take it. But then I also have several other ARs, so it wouldn't really be losing much.

Re: Sonic crack
I've had mixed results with HV in a 4.5" barrel. When available again, I'd definitely pick up CCI Standards. They will be the most accurate rounds you'll probably ever shoot, along with being one of the quietest rounds in any length barrel. Also, they'll cycle in any auto too that I've ever tri...

Re: Sonic crack
It's the sonic crack. Rem subs have been unreliable for me as far as being subsonic and/or quiet. I stick with CCI Standards or Aguila Match ammo (same price where I live...well, they used to be when you could find ammo).

True, that's actually the method I'm at right now. Except no plans to SBR just yet, keeping it as a pistol for now. Maybe once I get my other lower(s) in.

The Cyclone that was ordered over 9 months ago finally arrived at my local dealer's shop on Thursday. Nine months plus 8^( Could have made a baby in less time.!! But, it's finally here, so only another 6-8 months to take possession from the dealer. Lots of time to work up some subsonic loads for my...

Re: SBR Availability - Worse that I thought!
You're looking for a pre-built SBR AR? Why not just build it? Maybe I'm just reading it wrong. But if it's me, I buy a complete gun (or parts to build one), put a 16"+ barrel on it, that way I can shoot it in the meantime. Submit the papers for SBR, when it comes back, either buy a whole new up...

Should be ok, just don't be running drum after drum through it or something. And don't put a cover on it so you can keep an eye out for color change if it starts getting too hot.
