Re: Hornady Z Max Whisper Warning

This was my experience. I only have it to make a judgement call. I want nothing from Hornady. I did not use their money to ship the remaining rounds back to them or turn in a repair bill for my suppressor. I did not even ask them to send me replacement ammo. Todd was a great CS supervisor. Props to ...

Re: Hornady Z Max Whisper Warning

The boxes are collectible but the novelty wore off fast. I don't have the boxes anymore because I donated $ to Robert's run for charity and he gave me a bunch of PMags. I have many magazines. All ammo goes in the mags when it comes in. More storage space in the safe. I have receipts from buying the ...

Re: Hornady Z Max Whisper Warning

Liberty Suppressor has been incredible. They upgraded me to their new lighter and quieter Chaotic core that evolved from my custom "beer can." Excellent service and products.

Buy from Liberty Suppressors!

Hornady Z Max Whisper Warning

I just wanted to give everyone my personal account of Hornady Zombie Rifle Ammunition 300 Whisper/Blackout 110 Grain Z-Max. On 5/30/2012 I bought 3 boxes of Hornady Zombie Rifle Ammunition 300 Whisper/Blackout 110 Grain Z-Max from Joe Bob Outfitters as a novelty item. On 9/27/2013, I tried to shoot ...

Re: Kimber in the game

I wonder why they have unnecessary barrel length for their own 1911 when they make the gun, barrel and can? They should snug that can up. :)

SLICK! Let's get it metered by an independent.

If it "not sounds" as good as it looks, I'd buy the whole package.

Re: Some guidance please on a .22LR suppressor

Emilio is right but I find I use the Sparrow more than my Spectre II on pistols and rifles. I would like to add that the FRP on pistols is a easily cured with a small amount of spit. No tools. The Spectre II has more back pressure.

1. SS Sparrow
2. Spectre II

Re: Request for Input - Next Project - Hollywood Quiet

The quietest hosts that I have ever owned that make people giggle:

Ruger MKII with wet Sparrow and a thumb holding the bolt closed

Ruger 96/22 with dry Sparrow

Ruger 77/22 with Thompson Machine Operative barrel

All quieter than Hollywood sound effects for silencers,

Re: SRI is Melonite treating Sparrow tubes!

I dipped my #2 sparrow 2X before sending it off to be treated. My #1 Sparrow was dipped 8X + and I saw no noticeable difference in either of the finishes. I had over 20 K rounds through my first one.

Re: SRI is Melonite treating Sparrow tubes!

My treated core and clam shells has gone through the dip 3X now. There has been no noticeable change in the finish.

I'm going to try my tumbler with SS pins tomorrow and see how the Melonite holds up to 4 hrs in the tumbler.

Edit: Can't do the tumbler. The drum is too small. Dang HF stuff.

If yes, how did the engraving go on the polymer lower?
Yes, it's a SBR. The engraving was done by laser at a trophy shop. It's below the M&P logo. I blurred it out with photoshop.

Re: Where to engrave on a Glock frame?

I think B and G are right. The best place is the frame.

I had my polymer M&P 15-22 receiver laser engraved by a local trophy shop and it was the quickest/cheapest engraving I've ever had done.

Very true... but seldom have I ever seen anyone use anything but a threaded barrel once they commit. It's not like you going to go to a longer or shorter barrel.

Is this happening SWR? I would pay for a serial number on a trust ahead of the changes.

Re: Where to engrave on a Glock frame?

You are allowed to engrave just the barrel. If you ever sell it, you could change barrels and ask to have it removed from the registry. Then, it would be title I again.

If that thread was not closed I would have jumped it. You're right W. They don't seem to have a problem selling NFA owners out.
