If the springs are not engaging the mount all the way, call AAC and see what they can do about it. I was told to oil it up good and mount it several times to get the can to engage all the way.

I use the 762SD, on an AR10, for hunting whitetails in MS. It reduces the sound to an unsrppressed .22. I have shot 25 shot strings without the can working loose. I have the 18T mount and have no problem with it on the AR10 or the AR15 that I run it on. It holds just fine.

I just hope it's better that the Grendel or the Excell. Both were jam-o-maitcs. I have an Automag II and have had no problems with it. Yes it is. But you will need a thread adapter to mount it on the AR-15 also.

I'm working on a single shot 308 rifle and will use the AAC QD comp that works with my 762SD. I have heard good things about the comp on bolt guns.

I would like to know this also. AAC has a section on their site with all of the drawings and specs to use with a particular can or mount. You can measure yours to see if it needs to be cut.
