Re: Serial #s on Ti-rants
Yes, if I actually had my form 4 approved and silencer in hand I'd probably know, but as of now I only have my serial#.

Serial #s on Ti-rants
Is there a way to tell if your Tirant is one of the take apart models by using the serial#?

Why not just cut/sand the grip down so that the thimble disappears?

Emilio, I think the awb ban expired, so unless there are localnor state ordinances against it your good to go.

Re: Unthreaded brake out/ blackout 51tooth mounts
Thanks. Sorry if it was answered already. In at least one case it would be completely finished, as I planned on welding it to an unthreaded ak barrel.

Nothing taken personally, thank you for the responses. Wasn't really planning on attempting a build, was more of a hypothetical if it could be done.

7.62x39 in a 7.62 sd
Can you use a 762 SD on an ak since most of the bullets are actually .311 ? Assuming concentricity of barrel/ threads etc of course.

Unthreaded brake out/ blackout 51tooth mounts
Is it possible to buy unthreaded mounts and thread them yourself to fit any oddball threads you may need?

Is this possible or am I crazy? .223 blowback operated ar
It seems to me the biggest drawback to suppressing the ar-15 is the lack of subsonic ammo that can cycle the bolt. Seeing as how a subsonic .223 round has as much pressure and energy as a.22, how come no one ever tried building a special bolt that was blowback operated, strictly for subsonic? I woul...

Re: Help me build a 300 blk upper
I think I'm on the same waiting list, I ordered it two weeks ago, still has not arrived. No worries though, I need time to figure out what other components to use. As far as the piston kit goes, does anyone foresee any problems using an Adams arms retrofit piston on a 300 blk barrel? Things like bar...

Re: Help me build a 300 blk upper
Thanks, thats the kind of info I was looking for. Not sure I agree with the assessment of the piston system if your shooting suppressed. I will try out a cheap piston system from Centerfire and see if it works, if not I'll just put it on one of my 5.56 pistols. Which is the heavier buffer, an H or H2?

Yes just a barrel. I saw the FAQ but did not see any info on pistons or buffer springs.

Help me build a 300 blk upper
I just bought a 10.3 inch 300 blk upper from delta arms http://www.deltacompanyarms.com/products/.300-BLK-barrels%2C-AR%252d15.html. Now I need to order the rest of the parts. I was thinking a flat top upper. Mostly run suppressed with some super thrown in. I'm learning to reload my own ammo, and I ...

I realize that, I just want to know if anyone has done it or is it possible, specifically with a 762 Sd aac can.

How bad of an idea is this?
Can a quick attach mount be left in the can, and then moved between hosts by threading it on? As long as you made sure it did not loosen while being used, could it be done safely?

Re: Ordering process/legalities for silencers
Thanks for the replies, yes as a peace officer you can individually purchase and I asked the local ATF office if there were any class 3 dealers in the area and they said nearly all the ffls in the area have c3 certification (including my dealer), as it costs so little to pay for the extra license, t...

Re: Ordering process/legalities for silencers
That's how I thought it would work, but I was a little worried as an out of state dealer informed me he could only transfer it to my department (not my c3 dealer) on a form 1. Which contradicts what I learned from a local ATF office.

Ordering process/legalities for silencers
I am in the process of jumping through the necessAry legal hoops to get a suppressor in NY. Don't need to post how, just assume I get the form 4 Cleo approval and I am good to go administratively. How do I (or my class 3 dealer) go about transferring it to him so he can transfer it to me when I get ...

Re: Need some opinions and a dumb question
Thanks for the replies. I am thinking tirant .45 Or osprey for my pistol and 7.62 Sd for the rifle. I am curious about the coastal though. At first I heard they suck and are cheaply made, but that pic don't look so bad. Has anyone ever had any experience firing 7.62x39 through any of the 7.62 cans? ...

Need some opinions and a dumb question
Hi all. I tried the search function for the dumb question, but to no avail. here goes: I'm looking to get two suppressors, one rifle one pistol I was thinking a rifle in 7.62 to do double duty on my .308 rifles (Cetme, M1a Socom and a Single shot break barrel) my .223 ar 10.5 barrel pistol and my 11...
