Possible additional column for those of us that send the forms off either Sig Req'd or Delivery Confirmation would be "Forms Received" right after the Forms Sent section. Good idea, adding it now... I added that, and included some basic reporting. Let me know what sort of reports anyone i...

cool man. I think the site is a good idea. There are a lot of people who are new to NFA, and this would be a great thing for them to see. Also, it would also help manufacturers, because it would definitely be a window into current buying trends of the internet forum suppressor market (if that is an...

yeah, I ordered from the Major because he DID already have a serial number for me (I knew he was about to get a shipment in "2 weeks" which turned out to be more than that of course). But, you can't start the Form 4 until it's at your local dealer. So.... yeah. I could have ordered it fro...

Hmm, thats an interesting situation, I hadn't thought of that one, since my dealer was willing to order it directly from the mfg (ended up going through Maj. malf who had it in stock though). My main intent of this report was to get Form 4/Form 1 transfers, but that is an interesting bit of data as ...

That is an interesting idea, I will think about tossing some extra dates in there. The 'transfer to dealer' tag was meant to be the initial form 3/4 (or none if it was in stock), and that would take care of your situation I would think.

NFATracker.com: Alternative to the ATF Thread--

Hi all, I just wanted to let you guys know about a little site I started earlier this week. It is called http://NFATracker.com . The purpose of this site is to provide us with an alternative to the ATF threads. I noticed these threads are long and disorganized, and have no way of doing reporting, so...

I shot them both at ORL on the same host, and thought that the SWR HEMS2 sounded better, so I bought that. I think I would recommend it, though I doubt anyone would be disappointed for going the wrong way in this discussion.

Inexpensive AR-15 Complete upper

Hi all- I just purchased a lower which I am making complete soon, so i am in the market for a complete upper. I would prefer something inexpensive, and don't care very much about the feature set. Does anyone have an upper they replaced and have nothing to do with? Let me know! I would prefer it to b...

The thing I don't get is why they don't just use the instant check system. The prohibited persons list is exactly the same for title 2 firearms as it is for title 1 stuff. There is no reason for them to do it the 'fast' way. They are hourly employees, getting paid by how much time they sit in a sea...

Yep, thats basically what I suspected.

Stooxie- I think full-auto would have been even hotter than 10% more if the ROF was higher, the mag swaps I think let it cool down.

One long burst with the Beta. Yes, the rifle will also be ambient temp. I will also record ambient temp for each session. My money's on the full auto peak being higher. You're expelling the same amount of energy, just in less time. I would be tempted to agree, I don't see reasonable condition where...

An interesting side-bar to the current topic: I purchased a Tac-65 recently, and the loudest part of the firearm seems to be the action at the moment. I haven't shot with MY Mark 3, but with my dealer's. When he held the slide from moving with his thumb, you could hear it hitting the target over the...

I think the reason they you never see an extended a 1911, is because long barrels are so easy to find! Its easier to just thread a barrel, than to extend one.

really, I didn't know that... I would think it would be possible, as long as you can thread a barrel normally. I would talk to tornado tech to see what would have to be done.

In many countries, the component that is registered through the government is the barrel, not the frame.

Because of this, the cost of a new barrel is insane!

To the OP, you are best off grabbing a threaded extension for the barrel you have! It would solve the problem!

Be careful. If you do a deal make sure you see the product and above all CHECK the serial number against the F4!! I am sure that more information will follow, but ATF called me last week re: a transfer I have with them. Evidently problems with some serial numbers. Wow, its even worse than I thought...

I'm at about the same place you are. I had to have a gunsmith fit it, because it wasn't perfect.

However, the fact that FTF has them in stock, and ships immediately is a huge plus in my book.

Geesh, this is a terrible ordeal! I think the dealer really screwed you on this one...

If you were in Oregon (no idea), I'd have a good guess who you dealt with, I've heard similar horror stories at one particular FFL here.

Yep, that actually is quite a good price, if it is a disassemble-able can. Just about the same you can get a Tac-65 for.. Like you said, worst case, you can have it rebuilt, since you already have the tube, you don't have to worry about any more tax stuff. However, based on the worksmanship I've see...
