Re: can/should this be repaired and if so, how?
.....at this point, any repair work would need to be performed by an 07/02 FFL. JC would be correct, reweld, welded sleeve over it etc.... only an 07/02 can repair a can. I thought anyone could repair they're own can as long as they don't add parts. In this case, adding a sleeve would require a 07/...

Re: ar threads
thanks bender, would it be ok to just use the can without the spacer or would that be to close to the blast baffel? The correct configurations are. 1/2x28 Fixed barrel mount, no other parts needed. 1/2x29 LCD Piston, with fixed barrel spacer installed. As far as the barrel thread length you shouldn'...

You will be fine with using either the fixed barrel mount or the piston with a fixed barrel spacer. There are more than enough threads. Remember 300BLK SUBSONIC ONLY.jackson wrote:are ar threads too long to use for the swr triden9 or should a spacer be used?

If they are selling you 1.5" G5 barstock for $175 a foot you need to find a new metal house, its WAY cheaper than that.

Re: What cans work with my SiCo Brakes?
Do you know what the specs are for the ASR where it threads into the suppressor tube. I have an Omega in jail and ASR brakes on 3 different rifles. I am waiting on a form 1 stamp to build a 30 cal. suppressor and was wondering how hard it would be to machine my tube to accept the ASR mount. Sorry, ...

Custom cans do, we have done a few that work with the ASR system.Joshua@CapitolArmory wrote:Just SilencerCo- Omega, Specwar, Hybrid, Harvester Big Bore, or Saker series if you get the ASR MAAD mount.
No other brands will work with the ASR system.

Is this the guy that used to work for RedJacket? Honest question. Yes, its some of the guys from what used to be RedJacket. Currently their shop is under water in the floods LA is having right now. I don't have any experience with their cans, but if they have an approved Form3 for a can that is not...

Re: .308 Brake Mounted Suppressor (Picture heavy)
Why didn't you single point the 5/8-24 threads? Other than that nice work. Looks very similar to my in process pictures although you did a better job of taking pictures of each step. I went with the tap because I think its a little tight to get the tool in there, its a bit easier to do, and I figur...

Thanks Bender, I'm glad one of the pros have tried this and had the desired results I'm planning a .30 can that will live on my 6.25" 300BLK and possibly spend some time on a .308. This looks like the most viable solution to blast baffle erosion that I've seen so far EDIT: Do you think that it...

I recently saw a pic of a Trek-T that was cut in half and it looked like there was an insert threaded into the blast baffle have any of you tried something like this ( A Ti blast baffle with an inconel or other wear resistant Insert) the idea is just to keep the cost down as I've already got lots o...

Re: PSI For Various Rounds
In designing an outer tube knowing the PSI that would be encountered is useful. Here is a useful chart to store for reference. << http://www.lasc.us/SAAMIMaxPressure.htm >> Compare the .45 and .22 profile. That chart appears to be CHAMBER pressures....those have little to do with designing a can, i...

Additionally, you have to be very cautious about extending barrels since it can void warranties with a lot of suppressor manufacturers. Have you put a list together of those that do and dont? You shouldnt need a takedown tool to remove the caps from a Spectre2.
I would just wait for Silencerco to send you the missing parts. They will get you taken care of!
