Meh, unless it's a .308 there's really no reason not to go with a Noveske.

Re: Dry Film Lubes

Remember that aside from the lubrication between metal parts, lube also functions to move particulates away from bearing surfaces. Dry lube won't do that at all. There's a reason after the M4 dust tests the Army concluded that running a gun "wet" was better in dusty environments (something...

Re: Art of the Precision Rifle -Magpul Dynamics Teaser Trail

I didn't see anything really new or revolutionary in the videos. Todd's "we just want to question everything" isn't really new or innovative. They're not really questioning anything at all since most of what he's going over has been in use for quite a while. His wind formula is just a vari...

Is this a justification for your dislike of cats? Cats have nothing to do with the article. In fact, cats are not even mentioned. What is the point of this story?

Re: What are your favorite upper parts?

A few things to remember about piston kits: Uses proprietary parts (may not be available if company goes out of business) Vents gas to atmosphere (louder than DI when used with a silencer) Limits rail system (hand guards need to be proper length or modified or certain model to work with larger gas ...

Re: What are your favorite upper parts?

Keep in mind this is a more or less budget setup. Trying to keep costs down but not building a shitty rifle Sell the parts you have now and buy a bone stock Colt 6920 from some place like G&R. This will get you the best gun for the money instead of throwing cash into the gun. Since you're askin...

If it promised to outlast other bulbs to the point where I would regain the cost differential. But since that won't happen, no.

Re: SR7 vs. 762SDN6?

I would go with the 762SDN only because I am already invested in mounts and already have an M42k. That being said, if the 762SD wasn't the only available 762 can and in 51t at the time, I would have gone 762 over 5.56. Now, I'd go SR7 for the mount and 308 for versatility. 5.56 is loud even with the...

Re: Direct Mounting a Laser

Slick! Any reason you went with the OTAL even though you're mounting it behind a folding optic? I've always been of the opinion that an ITAL would be better if you have the beam clearance as you won't have to worry about a parallel zero and can achieve a true windage co-witness. Depending on your ze...

Are the KAC QD's rotation limited? Is it possible you're trying to insert the sling swivel with the location in the wrong spot?

Re: Russia's Sending Four Million AKs to the Big Arsenal in

One of my coworkers is Russian, can barely speak English type of Russian, and she is absolutely amazed that we have grass for landscaping. She spent 45 minutes walking around out in front of the hotel barefoot because it has a grass lawn. My TV induced impression of Russia: http://media.avclub.com/...

Re: Russia's Sending Four Million AKs to the Big Arsenal in

If you know anything about the post-soviet military industrial complex you'd know that these 4 million rifles probably aren't even worth the cost to get the scrap metal from them. You could probably hack off the receiver, jam a round into the chamber, hit it with a hammer, and the thing still wouldn...

There are plenty of excellent options here. I merely pointed out that your assumption of poor customer service has been eclipsed many times over, and if you didn't perchance upon the evidence contrary to your opinion, you must not have researched beyond a cursory search.
