Robert,

Great chart! How about doing one for all of the 7.62 suppressors. I just ordered a 762-SD and I'd like to see how it stacks up against the competition.

I had heard that the rule of thumb was 1000 ft/lbs, what ever. Any way, according to my ballistics program, a 220 HPBT (with a MV of 1050) has only 539 ft/lb at the muzzle and a whopping 505 ft/lb at 100 yards. Unless your doing head or neck shots, it's total inadequate for the job.

I've been dying to ask this question ever since DorikinGTs started posting recently. Has anyone looked closely at his avitar? The more I look at it, it looks like a hitman pointing a gun at a downed police officer! Look at the patrolman's hat lying on the ground next to the body. That's says a lot a...

I didn't watch the "s--t bowl" because after I pay them to pump in sunshine up here in the north woods, I don't have any left for satellite TV! However, I watched all of the commercials on the web and the best one, hands down is the Blockbuster "Mouse" commercial, followed by the...

Less than stellar customer service is WAY to kind. They don't answer their phone, they don't respond to emails (or snail mail) and you can't order anything off of their web site without calling it in or emailing them. I've seen a lot of their stuff around and can't for the life of me figure out how ...

drew2, In my opinion, it wouldn't work. You didn't say what suppressor you were planning on using, but the Cylone requires a minimum of a 9/16" thread (0.562") and I doubt there is that much meat left at the Frontier's muzzle. Even more important is with a barrel that thin, sticking a 28 o...

I bought some at Wally World the other day and shot it in my converted 98 Mauser. I was astonished at how clean the brass looked and it appeared to shoot tighter groups also. Good stuff, I wish Winchester would say what type of powder their using. I emailed them and as expected, no responce.

Oleg,

Starline makes .458 SOCOM brass http://www.starlinebrass.com/ and you can get .458 bullets from just about every bullet manufacturer.

My line of thinking is that because CO2 has 2 atoms of oxygen it will promote ignition of hot gases. Better to use an inert gas and the most readily available inert gase is argon.

Are you refering to pushing an expander ball through the neck to open them up to seat bullets? If that is the case, the answer is NO. US military blank cartridges are made from cases that for what ever reason are rejects from the live ammo assembly line. I wouldn't want to risk any firearm that I ow...

Zach, My first .50 was a Watson's Weapons AR-Upper. It shot great, but I soon tired of shotgunning it to reload. Anyway, back to the point, Watson's included an extra hammer spring of their own design that was installed over and inconjunction with the existing spring. That's how they overcame light ...

I got to play with the standard model Sterling with I trained with the Canadian Army (3d PPCLI) back in 1977. I have to say it's an awsome gun and I really like the idea of the side feeding magazine.

mcmillanman5, If I remember right, the Grizzly is a shell-holder gun, meaning that you have to physically remove the bolt evey time you load it. They SUCK! The Serbu BFG-50 is a true bolt action and cost less. I've got one and it's the BEST .50 BMG for the money on the market. Check it out: http://w...
