So is there any reason why I shouldn't just buy teh small base dies to begin with? I will not be shooting any bolt 223 guns, all AR-15.

I don't shoot any 40, only going to reloading 9mm with special k recipe and 45acp. Also doing 223 as its currently the only rifle caliber that I shoot in large numbers.

If you are or your buying it from an authorized dealer you can have them take the 14.7 rifle and put any flash hider you want on there permanently for $32.50 and as long as the total length with the newly attached permanent flash hider/ suppressor mount is over 16"...
