Re: one reason Coastal suppressors are better than AAC
Sorry guys. We are doing our best. We are still growing...probably 2x-3x this year again. It was much easier to get to every phone call and email when we only sold a few thousand silencers a year. Mers, Kathy, and Hollister are doing a great job, but there are enough calls and emails for 20 people. ...

Re: Jet 338 Titanium Suppressor and Mike's Gun Sales Review
Give Mike or John a call at AAC tomorrow. I will give you a deal on a .338 silencer. I would hate for you to become discouraged by NFA b/c of this experience.

Re: Thought you would want to know...
He and AAC, have used the wounded warrior project for marketing. I heard something like that from a friend of mine before. What's the story behind that? I would like to understand that too. We have raised over $100,000 for Wounded Warrior over the past three years, but we don't use it for marketing...

Re: Surefire Mini vs the rest
I have to kind of wonder when AAC posts DB rating for cans, they are believed, but if another company does it (like SF), it is disputed. Kind of a double standard don't ya think??? Just sayin.... C4 Excellent point. But, this is why we submit our silencers for independent testing. I'm not certain S...

Re: Thought you would want to know...
I was a past satisfied customer of HP LLC. I have a dog in this. I have twice visited the inner sanctum of Griffin Armament. The first time was the R&D facility in Dousman Wisconsin. A strip of offices where the only clue as to the innovation of Griffin... A rusty steel door that spelled HPLLC ...

Re: Surefire Mini vs the rest
Tuukka, Thanks for the information on using a non-purpose built mount for mounting a suppressor. I have been down that road and in fact one of things that I did to enhance my setup was to switch to an AAC Blackout (Non-Mount) FA for use with my can. I wanted to maximizes the versitility on my 5.56 ...

Re: Surefire Mini vs the rest
Not in our testing. It doesn't meet sound, weight, flash, POI, durability, repeatability, or accuracy requirements. And there are further requirements for meeting .mil expectations that SRT may encounter. I'll defer to expert opinion on such maters since I have not clinically tested any sound suppr...

Re: Surefire Mini vs the rest
We were asked by a .mil customer about small silencers after you guys started pushing your units. The customer informed us that they were excited about the size for your small cans, however performance was very lacking, especially on 14.5" and 10.3" barrels. What role were they trying to ...

Re: Surefire Mini vs the rest
We were asked to make a mini silencer that was hearing safe on a 14.5" barrel. That's what we accomplished and are offering with the Mini4 silencer...the first hearing safe mini silencer on the 14.5" barrel. The SRT Typhoon is classified as a mini (4.7" long) is "hearing safe&qu...

Re: Surefire Mini vs the rest
Hey Kevin thanks for stopping by our booth at SHOT. Glad you guys got into the "MINI" market. Not sure about the name but it does save money on the marketing side of things for you guys. No need for us to send suppressors to your good friend we don't need to rely on so called 3rd party &q...

Re: Surefire Mini vs the rest
On a 11.5" barrel the SureFire Mini is 138dB with M855 ammo. That is still better the AAC Mini4 on a 14.5" using discontinued military ammo based on the info in their catalog. Not sure why they are testing with discontinued military ammo. Are you certain your post is correct? We have the ...

Re: SHOT Show Coverage Thread
I drew something like this up months ago when toying around with ideas of what to Form 1 god dammit. So did a lot of other Form-1 builders. Guys have been talking about this method for years in the Silencersmithing forum. Ruger MKII barrels have been done as well this way. Even I've posted drawings...

Re: SHOT Show Coverage Thread
Incorrect. If we don't protect our products with patents, then they will never get the the commercial marketplace. Patent protection allows us to stop other companies from copying our technology without the them having to endure the expensive R&D process. So, this does help our commercial custom...
