OK lets take this a little further. Ive been looking seriously into buying a 762-SD. Say I had a form 1 can that I wasnt really using much and I wanted a 762-SD can instead. Could I sent it into AAC on a form 5 and have it "rebuilt" as a 762-SD assuming I was willing to pay AAC what a 762-...

I just talked to them in Martinsburg and the nice lady on the phone informed me that they are requiring Schedule A and Declarations. Since my form has not gone pending yet and my check has not even come back from the back ( after 4 weeks) I will have to wait until an examiner sends me a request for ...

Ive used Willmaker . Cost me $30 for the copy of the program and notary fees were $10. Didnt really see any need to kiss the sherriffs ring. I included all my firearms as trust property which was handy anyway since I have 3 kids and I saw what happened to my grandfathers guns when he died. First unc...

You could do a trust and skip 80% of that paperwork i.e. fingerprints, pictures, LEO signoff , background check etc.

Is there a hell of a cost benefit in doing this or is it pretty much just the tax free transfer and much faster turnaround.? I could understand where he wouldnt be happy with the can but It looks like he probably bought two complete silencers and got one.

No I'm not sure. I called but they couldnt or wouldnt tell me if it had arrived or not. Only that it wasnt pending yet so its probably sitting in a stack waiting to go to someones inbox. Rather annoying I say.

#10 fender washers are right at 1 inch OD and fit snug in a 1 inch ID tube like those model rocket tubes. If the ID of the fender washers is expanded by forcing it into a cone shape the resulting ID is .28" or a bit larger. Perfect for a .22. The second washer is a regular flat fender washer ag...

An end cap held in a jaw chuck and drilled concentric and tapped with a tap is going to be bore concentric if care is taken on setup to check axial runout. He does not need to thread the tube or the end caps. They come that way . A barrel held in a tail stock and cut to a shoulder and threaded with ...

Yes. If he buys a lathe and tooling it will cost more than several cans. If he has a friend with a lathe the friend will more than likely have enough tooling to at least cut and relieve the barrel for threads and he'll have to pony up $50 for a die and die holder and another $25 for the proper tap t...

Look through the build it yourself section for a form 1 can. Some work and look good. Some look like crap and work good, some dont work and look like crap, some look good and dont work. A new silencer for a .22 can be had as cheap as $200 plus transfer ans shipping fees. If you just have to roll you...
