Re: Aluminum 5.56 Suppressor
Low volume use, like hunting (where the weight is an advantage) aluminum is fine. But if you're taking a training class, or shooting multiple stages in a high-volume match, or wading into a fire-fight in Durkadurkastan... Aluminum could have issue with the heat.

I had the 20" barrel on my Howa 308 cut and crowned at 16.5". It is a tack-driver, shooting .75" at 100yards with 175gr SMK, through my SC Omega can.

SLIGHTLY OFF TOPIC... In most cases... the $2000 toilet seats in the military are line item funding that is "taxed" out of military budgets to fund black programs. I worked in the USAF Space Programs, closely linked with the Military satellite programs, and RADAR invisible missile systems....

What's the minimum barrel length for a 308? JW JW, actual .308, 16". If you're going with a 300 BO, as short as 8". Thanks. My 308 is 16.5, and my 300 BLK is 8.25. I've been considering building my own Form 1 .30 can for dedicated use on my 308. This is a bit longer than I wanted... but i...

I was going to say... do a 930. They're easier to get to run with light ammo anyway, and replacement barrels are cheap, and resale is instant.
Cut it a few inches, test, repeat.

Pouch and flash hider correct? The Omega's have an additional benefit of getting a free flash hider with the pouch. Got mine less then 2 weeks after I registered it. Great stuff and great company! They better not go to BMI bullshit.
I'm 6'4" and 235# in contest shape... 5% body fat. My BMI is 28, which is almost OBESE. At my "normal" 245-247# at 8%-9%, I'm at 30.
If it comes down to it, I'll just report that I weight 215. F--k 'em.

Also on a side note the octane 45 shooting suppress is the bee's knees to say the least. It really does tame that 45 down to nearly nothing. I was with my father and had him shoot my XD 45 tactical unsuppressed to which she had a normal response. But after I put the suppressor on and shout it his e...

Looks like an exceptional business opportunity for someone out there... Manufacture 2-3 different tube lengths, 3-4 different mount options, 5.56 and 7.62 end-caps, and one baffle stack design with an option of the number of baffles/spacers, etc. Mix and match, assemble your own Form-1 can... Consider buying a 45 Cal can... A 45 can on a 9mm is NOT much louder than it's 9mm cousin. But down the road, you MAY want to add a 45 to your collection, and the can will go on both. I purchased a SiCo Octane 45K for this reason. I only own 9mms, and the primary host weapon will be a 9mm M&P......

I already have a serviceable can for lead bullets and 300 blackout. The primary use for this can would be hunting with supersonics. No mag dumps or SBR abuse. The light weight of a Ti can makes sense to me. Of course, the Harvester is even cheaper and lighter... I suppose I could always just sell s...

Re: AR15 Handguard, Barrel, Suppressor Compatibility
I think it'll be on the tight side but should work. You'll have about a half inch between the end of the handguard and the back of the can. That's plenty. I run my Omega Direct Thread on my 10.5" 5.56 barrel, with a 9.75" hand-guard (actual length). The can sits 1/4" from the guard. ...

Sounds like an operator issue, not an equipment issue. The gun didnt cause the ND's, the jackwagon that pulled the trigger did. I'd call it a lack of training/practice issue... "It's not my fault... It's (the gun's) fault!" Typical abdication of personal responsibility, which is RAMPANT t...
