Maybe some breechloading conversion of a muzzle loader, that still used caps for igniting the blackpowder charge in the case.
The hole is the transfer port for the flame.
I'll be back with more.

Grounded,
My brake goes back over the barrel for a short section, so max other diameter of the barrel portion where it is shown concave would be helpful.

SIG MCX 300blk Barrel muzzle profile 5/8×24
Good morning to all. I'm working an a new QD break for the MCX but do not have the gun yet. Is there any one here that has data - DWG on the SIG MCX 300 blk muzzle? angles, diameter etc for the last 3 inches? That way all is done by the time my gun gets in.;-) http://truthaboutguns-zippykid.netdna-s...

The key is that the choke point is the exhaust entrance. So splitting the single, limited exhaust stream into multiple divergent streams of greater total volume -> decreases velocity and pressure.

However, you're missing MANY features of the M4-2K, which made it a top performer. The baffles of an M4-2K are: ported, clipped and ribbed. I don't see any of these features in your design. CaptL: I think that this post persuaded him to add all those bleeder holes. That is what SIG did, port almost...

Re: speculation on making a suppressor after Hearing Protection Act passes?
Sounds a lot like common core math to me. Make everything hearing safe 16-1/2 feet from the gun where the microphone is placed. Oooohhh, Kay. You all missing the point, measurement is done at 4m Hight and 5m from muzzle, for unpolluted raw data not to build a range with a 8 meter high bullet-trap. ...

The real hurtle is having proper equipment for sound measurement. You are working blind without this equipment and its no longer made. -CL I would think that a sound studio would lease time for testing. Then Mnfrs could add a "UL rated" type mark to prove their #s. Seems like a lucritive m...

Re: Low Weight 300Blk Can - Ti and 17-4
Using solid bar to make the tube does make for a perfectly round tube which makes a HUGE difference with matching threads , and the grade 5 is a fair bit stronger than grade 9. Solid bar can be found on E-Bay for reasonable prices. I make all my Ti tubes from bar, Only way to make sure they are up ...

Re: Med-Large Caliber K-Baffle Design for Subsonics AND High Velocity Ammo
It would seem logical that if you can create a K that will work well and hold up to the pressure of supersonic rounds...it should be a given that it will work well for subs...assuming the design mods to the K are not so significant as to make it less effective for subs. I believe some folks here ha...

I also have a form 1 for 30 cal to use on 300 Blk both supers and subs. I would love to have the info. Also, doesn't Curtis Tactical do a 30 can with cones then K's? His design work's well as it uses parts that thread together, creating a pulling force on the k's. If you do not want to use that des...
