Looks machinable(long end mill). the baffles are way too thick, leave the spacing but widen the gaps between them...

Ours is that Mitutoyo CMM that we have in our shop. One of our customers has one that will do micro or nano-inches as well as other inspection equipment that will do even better.

not cheap!

We have one and they are pretty slick! Ours does something like .00005 or better.

I've had it put out point clouds and imported those into solidworks. Pretty slick.

Ah, that brings me back to the days in the machine shop running the ezpath and ezpathII :D

What is the OD of those baffles? They don't look like much. Wouldn't you want something bigger for a .510?

how much heavier can you get in .308 than 240gr?

1:10 won't stabilize anything 200 on up.

5.7x28 isn't a very large round, it may have a high chamber pressure but does anyone know the pressure characteristics and what kind of pressure it sees at the muzzle?

Theres a guy using a .22LR can on his AR57 on Ar15.com

Re: 9mm upper receivers?

Can a normal AR 15 upper receiver be used in a 9mm build? The only differences I can see is that a 9mm upper is not drilled for the gas tube and it has a shell deflector. What exactly does this shell deflector do differently than that on a normal 5.56 upper? This Spikes Tactical 9mm billet upper is...

Right?
doesnt matter, he would still be missing the auto sear.
its possible for it to fire FA if the hammer follows the bolt down. A selector and disconnector are all that are needed for it to do that.

the M1S chamber is different and is not very friendly to long bullets. You can request them to make it with a pistol position gas block look over at quarterbore.com/.net, there are a few guys on the boards who make quality barrels that will run great and be very accurate. They usually turn them arou...

Can you let go of the trigger and it stops?
If so, its probably the trigger, put a standard trigger group in and see what happens.

If you can handle doing an 80% lower, look at yellowlogic.net. he just came out with these lowers, they are basically the same thing, but billet and 80%.

Most 147gr ammo doesn't run more than 1000fps, so just load it accordingly to your barrel length. because they don't run more than 1000fps normally they should expand just fine at those velocities. 115gr gold dots going 1500fps blow up rabbits quite amazingly. I've also taken chip monks with that lo...

You could make a shaper type tool for your mill out of a lathe tool bit, and if you have a rotary table, it would make it even easier. You could even grind your own broach, just a one time use really hard to punch through thing that just makes small corners, the flats might have a little bit of circ...

A couple things:
How is the tube held on there with no caps or anything? Is it press fit on there?

That sure sounds loud in those videos.

Whats the story with the excess material at the end of the can?

I've had this issue and I'm trying to remember what the deal was. try to change the "active high" stuff on the step and direction. Your motors might not be hoked up in the right phases. You might have phase 1 and 2 mixed together.

it would be interesting to know if that heat is getting to the base on these.
I know commercial neck annealers don't cool the case head, the body annealers do though.

I think people need to clarify. 3 jaw chucks are perfect for most work. 4 jaw chucks are perfect for precision work. I would NEVER get rid of a 3 jaw for a 4 jaw, every time you use it you'd have to indicate your parts and that would be terribly time consuming. I actually own a 4 jaw chuck that I've...
