Could make it essentially impossible to take a long trip to a place like Texas, stay several places, and hunt where one is able. Sheesh!!!

Re: .30 cal can.....decisions decisions
I have an SAS Ti Arbiter ... very light, acoustically very efficient. Makes 300 BLK Hollywood quiet. Titanium probably not best for most severe use. Also have 7.62 Specwar and 7.62 Saker. Both are as robust as it gets and do very will with sound. Good for hard use and short barrels. Saker great for ...

Use a 7.62 Saker for both 5.56 and 7.62. Is very impressive. Have compared it to the 5.56 Saker and it is very good indeed.
Specwar now reserved for the 7.62 bolt rifles.
(Yes I have all three.)

Have both 5.56 Saker and 7.62 Saker. Both sound great! The 7.62 Saker with 5.56 endcap sounds a bit better and darned good!
In addition the 7.62 Saker works really well with the 6.8 and 7.62x51.

Re: Specwar or Saker
Either the Specwar or Saker will work on the short 300 BLK barrel. The Specwar will not go on one handed. It is longer. The Saker will go on with one hand but will be a wee bit louder. Am very impressed with the Specwar on a 12.5" 308 Win barrel and a 16" bolt rifle barrel. Have used the S...

Re: If you knew then what you know now...
I regret not having bought a dozen registered HK sear packs for $1k in 1984. The Hughes Amendment caused me to get my first NFA stamp ... would sure like to see it stuck down! Went cheap with the first cans (22 LR). Learned my lesson! Non NFA regrets: Wish I could have found a Remington 7600 instead...

... chuckle ... Ordered the last cans in what I thought would be enough time to clear before 41P went into effect. Then the Form 3 was "lost" for one of the cans and approvals in time for May (to avoid the need for grandfathering) are getting mighty close. Fortunately, the WV Legislature p...

So is the 7.62 Specwar. Have used one on a 12.5" 308 and it really takes the concussion out of the experience. That short a bbl on a 308 is close to abusive without a can
Have a Saker in NFA jail that I'll also try.

Have been happy with the BCM charging handle on a BCM 11.5" 5.56 running a 5.56 Saker. The Saker makes less back pressure than the KAC QDSS-NT4!

In comparing an Octane 9 with an Octane 45 mounted on a 9mm pistol, the Octane 45 seems to have a lower pitch. Not significantly louder.

Re: A 2nd 308 suppressor - advice requested
I have an SAS Ti Arbiter and a 7.62 Specwar. Both cans do excellent suppression. The Arbiter is very light but I would not use a titanium can in an application where it will get very hot. The Specwar is rated for barrels as short as 12.5" in both 6.8 and 308. I've used it on both of those with ...

Not so worried about 30 to 50 years. 15 maybe as I have lots of hardware in that age range.
Everything that needs a can has a mount and a few spares. Mounts are not inexpensive but not that expensive.

Change of color?
Silencerco Guys,
You now offer the Octanes and the Sakers in FDE. Will have a 7.62 Saker that I'd really like in FDE to fit the color of the rifle it will live on. Do you offer color change as a paid for service?
Thanks!
Mike

Re: Rifle length gas system with suppressor?
Can't comment on the 18" BCM upper, but do have DI uppers built with 11.5 and a 16" BCM hammer forged barrels with BCM carriers, bolts, and charging handles. They work fine with 5.56 Saker and KAC QDSS NT4 respectively.
