FS: Colt Cobra .38 Spl.

This is a well used, but not abused, 1953-manufactured Colt Cobra. Finish is mostly worn off of the front and back of the grip frame. Action is VERY tight and smooth, though typically heavy. Thanks.

I carried a HK416 overseas with the 10.4" barrel. It felt real muzzle heavy compared to a standard M4.

I have a New Frontier .22 (mfg. 1974) just like yours, as well as a pair of Peacemaker .22s (mfg. 1971 and 1972). The reason I could see the Ruger killing off the Colt single-action .22s in the 1980s probably had some to do with Colt's quality issues during that decade and their union troubles that...

I equate shooting mine to a .22 Magnum with SBR .223 muzzle blast and the cost of .357 per round. I have found it does everything I have tried about the same as my .22 Magnum Colt New Frontier, except it mounts a light easier. I do not carry it for self defense, as I do not find any benefit. The pis...

I was kind of thinking about building a Marine Mk12. I really wanted an East Coast SAM-R, but that gas block front sight is cost prohibitive. Any suggestions for finding KAC take-off parts? I'm holding out hopes of finding one of their cosmetic blemish FF RAS rifle-length rails, but I guess they don...

I don't doubt the claim of quality - but at those prices for those magnifications I'd take a Nightforce. He might just want some options in a first focal plane scope. I went with the IOR for a long list of features. Every Nightforce scope one of the units I served with overseas had was broken and s...

I'm still trying to understand why colt would throw two entries into the race that were both Direct Impingment Operating Systems? Because the main problem with the direct impingement gas system is internet forums. I have carried the M4/M16 and the HK 416 in combat, and never had any problem with ei...

Mongo, First of all, nice rifle. Second, I think you are correct that it will be pushed into a LMG role in application. As a side note, since I left the Corps, I have carried the HK 416 in combat, and don't think it is the be all, end all of weapons. I don't really have an opinion of the HK vs. the ...

There was a great article in Marine Corps Times that I saved from sometime in the mid-1990s, where the senior Gunner was interviewed about the SAW vs. the Colt HBAR (Heavy Barrel Assault Rifle). The Colt HBAR (currently listed on Colt Defense's website as the Colt Automatic Rifle) was being tested a...

I prefer the Buckmark of your three listed. I've seen a lot of problems with the P22s from my friends. I haven't owned a Ruger MkIII, but have had a few MkII models and imagine the III is just as finicky about ammo selection. I think the Buckmark is a more reliable option than the Ruger, though ther...

I've got a Spectre that I like a lot, but have seen a number of Liberty Cans' Sparrows and heard about the new Sparrowhawk, and think they may be worthy of consideration. The Sparrow breaks down easier than the Spectre and tends to retail a good bit less, too.

I've used it as minute of man effective on the SR-25, SR-25K, and 10.4" 5.56mm rifle. It works, especially since it is "back up." Despite no need for adjustment in a BUIS, my past life as a Marine and competitive shooter draws me to adjustible sights.

Anyone built a suppressed Sten?

I'm looking to build up a Sten Mk3 kit and have talked to Doug at SRT Arms about integrally suppressing it, but hadn't found any on the forum. It would seem one of the semi-auto kit builds, firing from the closed bolt and with modern suppressors would be much more efficient than the original MkIIS m...

Hey USMC0351, For custom suppressor work in U.A., you might check with Precision Defense Systems Inc in Athens Alabama: 256-771-0710 (O) 256-278-8290 (C) Mike or Linda Gooch is the POC. They make some nice sealed .22 silencers that match outside diameter of the T.S. barrels for the 10/22, Mk 2/3, a...

I really like the IOR/Valdada scope(s). You might try the 10x MP-8 lighted reticule model. They use Schott glass. Without intending to sound heretical, I think they give the other high $ scopes a run for their money. I'm a big fan of IOR, too. Scott at Liberty Optics took care of me and I highly re...
