Re: Sighting In My 9MM Upper W/ 5" Tros Barrel
My other Larue mounts also return to zero when taking them off. That is one of the reasons I stick with Larue. I have never heard of putting Loc Tite on the rail with a Larue mount. I do Loc Tight the Optic to the mount but not the Mount to the rail.

How many rounds can these targets take? Also, there are no prices on their website. Do you know how much they go for? They do look like good targets.

Re: Need New Backstop, ... any suggestions?
Went to Walmart and got the bucket, lids, rubber mulch for under $10. I wanted a "quick" backstop, and this seemed to be the quickest. Works better than I thought! I'm still going to play around with the foam idea, maybe put foam on the rubber mulch filled bucket? THanks for all the input...

Re: Sighting In My 9MM Upper W/ 5" Tros Barrel
My Larue mount has the throw lever on it and is set with a lot of tension. I don't see how the mount could have shifted. I would have to really pry it off to remove it.

I was shooting with the 3-Lug adapter. All of my shots were with the suppressor attached.

I bought the H1 from Larue Tactical along with the mount. The optic came with the mount already mounted. I'll take the mount off the receiver and check the screws. They said the are loc tighted when they mount the optic but I'll double check it.

Re: Any benefit in shortening a 20"+ rifle barrel for a can?
I chopped my 223 back to 16 inches for full-time suppressor use. This was designed as a LE sharpshooter type rifle (< 300m). With the can attached, it is now shorter than an original 700P rifle. No regrets with regards to accuracy. Slight velocity loss. Much improved handling. http://i966.photobuck...

Sighting In My 9MM Upper W/ 5" Tros Barrel
I just sighted in my RRA 9MM Upper yesterday for the first time. It has a 5" Tros barrel and I was shooting 147gr SS ammo using an Aimpoint H1 and Trident9 can. After shooting about 15 rounds and shooting a very nice group at 20 yards, I let the suppressor cool down for a few minutes. After I l...

That really is great news. Smart having a cam set up in your house for when you're not home.

here mine. 75 pounds of sand some 2x6 and some spray foam. has hundreds of 22lr and a few .223 nothing has went thru and its very quite except when the 2x6 is hit then you get a nice thud. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l302/rgb03/100_3074.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l302/rgb03/100_307...

Re: New Discovery Channel series Sons of Guns airing Jan 12!
I was a little hard to believe that Will had no gun oil with him when he delivered that Mac to the movie set and they had to pop out the dip stick of that vehicle and use some engine oil. That had to be staged for the show to make things interesting. How do you deliver a firearm on a tight deadline ...

Trident9 Cleaning
I just picked up a Trident9 and shot it for the first time today. I would like to know how you guys clean your suppressors and how often. Is it ok to run a patch with gun solvent through the suppressor? Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
